    State of the Game?

Is the game getting anything new published? I went trawling through this forum and the website for any news of products beyond the core rulebook and GM screen and I couldn't find anything except for "Faces of Thedas", which seems to be coming out next year. Is that it? Is that all there is for the revised edition?

Right now the only thing that is known to be coming down the pipeline is Faces of Thedas, but Jack has mentioned that he would like to make an Inquisition book.

RPGs with IPs behind them like Dragon Age take time. They need to be approved by Bioware when any changes happen, and those folks are probably very busy with DA4 (hopefully). That means even small changes like grammar or details about the world, so this can be a grueling process.

It is a shame that Bioware don't trust GR to deliver new content on their own so to speak.

My group love the DA-RPG system, but lack of new content has seen us move away and come back only for one-shots that are usually conversions from other systems.

I'm sure Bioware trusts Green Ronin to do a good job of making new stuff, but Green Ronin can't just make whatever they want and use the Dragon Age name and setting on it. It's all about proper channels and legal usage of the IP.

Might I suggest checking out my podcast and its website Resources for Your Game list? It's got house rules, adventures to play, and new talents and such to use! We just put out episode 64, so we like to think that the game is doing quite well as long as folks keep listening and playing!
If you like the Dragon Age RPG, please consider listening to my podcast: The Wonders of Thedas! We discuss classes, backgrounds, GMing techniques, specializations, play styles, and much more!

To be fair, GR just really doesn't support their products. They create their sandbox and let people go from their. D-AGE may be licensed, but neither FAGE nor BRAGE is. SIFRP is licensed, but the Chronicle system has had little love. M&M doesn't receive the same amount of updates as other flagship properties.

So I doubt there will be many more releases, if any. Could be, but idk.

    Re: State of the Game?

Bioware seem to take ages to approve products - they couldn't even be bothered to make easy money by granting Green Ronin a license for a Mass Effect RPG! That tardiness I expect reduces GR's enthusiasm to invest in new material. Even if shonuff is right though, DA is a very nice sandbox

I think Kot is also correct in that the fan base seem to be producing some good unofficial stuff - check out his podcast. I'd also say that the amount we DA players can borrow from Fantasy Age is considerable, especially from the Companion. If Green Ronin wanted they could deliberately target us with some more specialisations, spells, poisons and grenades, ostensibly for Fantasy Age, but that straddle both games...

There's also the KQ Midgard supplement for 3 new schools of magic, specialization, and more.
