    The Rubber-Bandit (Travis Reid)

    Origin: Transformed.

    Prowess 4
    Coordination 6
    Strength 3
    Intellect 3
    Awareness 3
    Willpower 3

    Stamina 6
    Determination - Villain.

    Specialties: Athletics, Stealth.

Powers: Stretching 6 Extras - Damage Resistance and Instant.

    Qualities: Stretching to the Limit.

    "All about the Benjamins."

    Practical Joker.

    History:

Before his transformation into the stretchable supervillain Rubber-Bandit, Travis Reid was a relatively happy, if slightly immature, professional thief who made his living as part of the City’s criminal underground. Although a skilled second story man, he was known as much for his corny jokes and wisecracks as for his light fingers. Then the chaotic power of the Silver Storm transformed Travis, imbuing him with the abilities to bend, shape, and stretch his body to a superhuman degree. Reid was overjoyed. These new powers would make him and his family rich! He reveled in his new career as a supervillain and trained himself to use his powers to become one of the best thieves in the business.

Despite the advantages and notoriety that came with his powers, there were downsides he didn’t anticipate. His wife left with their daughter and filed for divorce. She could barely tolerate a husband who was a thief and wanted nothing to do with one who was a supervillain. Something else Travis hadn’t counted on was how persistent superheroes could be. On one memorable mission, he traded blows with one superstrong hero and wound up out of commission for weeks after the brute electrocuted him. Things haven’t gone at all the way the Rubber-Bandit thought they would, but he’s convinced his powers will be his ticket to greatness if only he can turn his luck around... and that only takes one good score.

Kid Robot (The Kid or just Kid)

    Origin: Artificial.

    Prowess 3
    Coordination 4
    Strength 2
    Intellect 3
    Awareness 3
    Willpower 4

    Stamina 6
    Determination - 2.

    Specialties: Power (Blast).

Powers: Alternate Form (Solid, Metal robot body) 6 Extras - Damage Resistance and Blast (Force Bolts). Limits - Doesn't raise Strength, Permanent. The robotic body also gives Kid Robot Total Life Support and Immortality 1.

As a side effect of using his force generation ability such as his blasts, Kid Robot has Flight 4 and can generate 4 Force Fields.

    Qualities: Wants to be human.

    Obviously non-human.

Has the mind of a child.

    History:

A graduate of MIT, Dr. Natalie Hallemier earned a reputation as a brilliant applied physicist and engineer for ground-breaking work in networking, cybernetic systems, and quantum technology. Working for Kinettix, a high-tech development firm, she spearheaded the ambitious Kinetic Deflector project, a sophisticated system of force generation and projection. So sophisticated, in fact, that a massively parallel control system was required to manage it. Dr. Hallemier spent at least as much time working on the quantum computer prototype to control her “KiD” (as she called it) as on the kinetic systems themselves.

The prototype had just entered the testing phase when a supervillain team tried to steal it. The break-in wrecked the lab, but the real surprise came when the prototype demonstrated not only a sense of self-preservation, but a desire to safeguard Dr. Hallemier. A barrage of force field and kinetic blasts made short work of the off-guard villain members, and left Hallemier with the revelation that her “KiD” had become a self-aware artificial intelligence! Working in secret, Natalie complied with “the Kid’s” request for a more humanoid form. She built a compact robotic housing for the kinetic deflector system and quantum computer. When Kinettix learned about her secret project, they attempted to seize the robot, who fled at Dr. Hallemier’s insistence. “Kid Robot” found shelter with mechanic Harry Faubry and used his force-projection capabilities to stop a crime in progress. The press dubbed him “Kid Robot”.

In a court case with Kinettix, precedents involving new and novel life forms awarded Kid Robot legal status as a person, not company property. However, citing the relative inexperience and immaturity of “Kid Robot” (as pointed out by Kinettix), the court did respond to the company’s request that a legal guardian be appointed for the A.I., and chose Dr. Hallemier. Without the quantum computer system to run it, the doctor’s kinetic deflector prototype was useless to Kinettix.

Now Kid Robot (just “Kid” to many of his friends) splits his time between fighting crime and protecting people in danger and learning how to be “a real boy.”

Ku Tu The Eternal (Ku Tu)

    Origin: Unearthly (Alien).

    Prowess 4

    Strength 8
    Intellect 6
    Awareness 4
    Willpower 5

    Stamina 13
    Determination - Villain.

Specialties: Power Expert (Cosmic Power), Science, Technology Expert.

Powers: Cosmic Power 8 Limit - Degrades when sealed away from the Cosmic Radiation rays that he is depended on, Ku Tu loses one level every page when cut off from the radiation. He recovers his lost levels when he manages to absorb Cosmic Rays again. (Cosmic Energy Blast - Blast: Blasting damage, Extra: Disintegration; Genetic Transmogrification: Alteration Ray (Transforming Ray: Turns humanoids into "Jaguar Men", Extra - Burst; "Smoking Mirror" Portals: Teleport, Limit - Transmit (Only through reflective surfaces.)

Mummified alien body - (Growth 1, Limit - Permanent. Immortality.)

Jaguar Men: Feline-Human Hybrids with Prowess and Strength increased to 4 but Intellect lowered to 1 and Claws (Slashing damage 3).

Stone Heads: Ku Tu’s Stone Heads are advanced alien technology the size of a small car that resemble the stone head idols of the ancient Olmecs. These constructs can fly and can shoot deadly lasers and a tractor beam from their eyes as well as Damage Resistance, all at rank of 5. Their artificial intelligence is fairly limited, but they are well suited to their role as hunter-killers and war machines.

    Qualities: Alien Space Mummy.

    "It is my destiny."

Alien Science blended with Old World Mysticism.

    History:

The alien known as Ku Tu the Eternal came to Earth around 2500 BCE. Sent to study and monitor the people of primitive Earth over several centuries, he was at first content to do just that. However, long periods of isolation with nothing but superstitious primitives to entertain him began to infect the alien scientist with feelings of megalomania. He began to manipulate the local cultures and watch the effects his interference had on the local human civilizations. Eventually, even this game was insufficient.

Deciding on a more hands on approach, he settled among the Olmec people of Mesoamerica. With his towering alien form and strange “magic” the Olmecs accepted him as their god-king, Ku Tu the Eternal. Ku Tu gave the Olmecs prosperity and technological advancements far beyond that of their neighbors in exchange for slavish devotion and human subjects for experimentation. He used his experiments to create alien-human-animal hybrids, unleash plagues on rival civilizations, and other depraved wonders.

As his rule dragged on he became less concerned with assisting his subjects and more with using them as toys and playthings. Eventually, this led to revolt. Despite his advanced technology and physical superiority, Ku Tu was defeated by his former subjects. Fleeing to his spaceship, he was thrown into the central power chamber by the leaders of the rebellion. This triggered a power surge which buried Ku Tu and his ship, seemingly forever.

Centuries later, an archaeological expedition from the United States discovered the remains of Ku Tu’s ship. Recklessly excited, the team entered the craft and found the mummified alien conqueror trapped under wreckage.

Working for days to free the alien corpse they transported it to their base camp for study. They were quite surprised the next night when Ku Tu, preserved and transformed after millennia of exposure to the energies which powered his ship, rose from his slab. He destroyed the camp, leaving only one survivor to return to civilization and tell of his resurrection. Now believing himself a true living god, Ku Tu seeks to use Earth as his starting point for a new empire that will one day span the stars.
