The Merge: Tales of London
In 2015, A massive quantum shift rocked Earth-Prime and all nearby dimensions, followed by a catastrophic disturbance in the substrates between the worlds. Wounds opened in the fabric of the megaverse. And as they healed, the worlds, more than a hundred formerly-separate universes, merged, centring on our world. Suddenly, dozens of people in costumes appeared, followed by entire new landmasses and new cities... followed by new stars in the skies... and completely new laws of physics. Accidents that should have killed people outright now gave them superpowers while those who had landed in this new world had to adjust to a world that previously knew them only as the stuff of fiction. The nations were help- and headless at first, but fortunately, a slew of heroes from a myriad worlds had landed on Earth... and they would do what they did best...
In 2016, The Chaos Incursion occurred. Several eldritch abominations attacked Earth at the same time. Practically every single hero rallied up to face the threat, ensuring that the fabric of reality was finally reinforced against entropy. But there was a high price. Two million people were confirmed dead as a direct result of the Incursion and at least twice that many were either mutated (in a bad way) or driven mad.
It is 2017. The Griffin, one of Britain's most well known heroes, has given each of you an invite to meet him at the Time in a Bottle, a pub in London which has been serving powered Britons ever since it came over. You don't know why on Earth he's invited you, but if one of the people who was directly responsible for keeping the Void from unmaking reality altogether last year is giving you an invite, he must have a reason for it. And the only way to find said reason out is to hit the Bottle!
This is a game set in Neo-Paladin's Merge setting. The basic premise of it is that various universes previously believed to be fictional actually turned out to be very real, due to a dimensional collapse which had people, cities, whole countries and even entire landmasses making their way over. Also, Earth-Prime natives have been getting powers as a result of the Merge. The Griffin is a Earth-Prime native who's returned to London after spending some time at New Mechanicsburg working as a part of their aid corps, the Brigade.
Character Creation rules:
PL 10, 180 PP. 1 PP gives you three skill ranks instead of two. Each rank of Presence gives you one free rank of any interaction advantage (Attractive, Animal Empathy, Beautiful Voice (see below), Cult Hero (see below), Daze, Fascinate, Inspire, Second Chance (must be applied to Deception, Intimidation or Persuasion if gained this way), Startle and Taunt).
In the Merge, Earth-Prime is basically our world. The history is identical until the 5th of January 2015, when the Merge itself occurred. This game will be set in London, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

New Advantages Available:
Beautiful Voice (Max 2 Ranks): As Attractive, but it's based on your voice instead of your appearance. Someone who's blind is immune to Attractive* (they really can't see what the fuss is about), but can be affected by Beautiful Voice. Modifiers from Attractive and Beautiful Voice do not stack.Benefit: Dual Citizen: For one reason or another, you are legally recognised as a full and otherwise rightful citizen of two separate and sovereign nations, allowing you to travel (visa-free) to, live and even work and vote (if available) in those two countries. Not all countries allow dual citizenship, and some governments place specific restrictions on dual citizens (usually in the form of not being allowed to run for office).* Yes, some people really do need to be told.
Cult Hero (Max 2 Ranks): Choose a subculture your character is strongly associated with. At 1 rank, you're respected and well-known enough by members of that subculture to get +2 on Persuasion and Deception-based rolls when dealing with them. You also get a -2 penalty when using those skills against someone who opposes or works against that subculture. 2 ranks sets the modifier to +/-5. You can take this advantage more than once to represent being a Cult Hero in multiple subcultures. Bonuses gained from multiple instances of Cult Hero do not stack.
