    And when I use Create for the force field thing, I add Concentration so it takes a Standard action to maintain.

    That's a good combo, since the modifiers should add up to +0. Enforcing the Limit may be a thing since it's a little vague, but probably not a major concern if your player sticks to concept. I'd be more inclined to go with Close Range instead, so the defensive force field has to include the PC and not be done at default range. Concentration also makes it function similarly to a Defend maneuver in that the PC can't attack while it's in use (at least not with Extra Effort).
