    Profiles and Powers

Hey guys, I was wondering how useful is the profiles and powers sourcebook. I own all the dc adventures books and I was wondering if I were to purchase the profiles book would I just be duplicating material I have already

Are you referring to Power Profiles? If so, I think it's a recommended book, with a lot of good ideas how how to build powers and some handy Extras and Flaws, but the PDF will serve you as well as an actual bound book.

It's very good if you're relatively new to M&M; some powers can seem daunting, and then you look in the book, and they have it as a very simple effect with maybe a modifier or two.

Similarly, Gadget Guides is excellent. I refer to that as "the book that Power Profiles was trying to be".

Even if you're an old hand, it can be useful to see how an effect seems like it would be done from On High.
