    ooh, good call

    Technology: 1D20+4 = [6]+4 = 10

    HP to reroll: 1D20+4 = [10]+4 = 14 +10 reroll bonus for 24
    Qora, HP 5 -> 4

upon seeing Kisai's precaution, Qora likewise has Sparky commit the card's code to digital memory

He pets your head. "I know you will make it alright. Thanks, Gelert. You really made me feel better. I'm looking forward to meeting this amazing Champion of the Blue again."

As to your question, he nods. "I arrived on Earth with other refugees. We're all staying in a big refugee center near the Harbor for now."

You can choose to send Simon back to the refugee shelter, or you can bring him with you. Either way, your decision concludes your scene.
Gelert escorts Simon back to the refugee shelter. Before he heads back he gives Simon the Sierra Family phone number. "Once you get settled, or if you need me for anything call them. They can always get a hold of me. I'll certainly come back to check on you and make sure all the refugees are doing okay. I have to make sure that All Will Be Well after all."

He gives a wink and makes a big show of flying off, after all for many of these refugee's the sight of a wielder of the Blue meant that everything would be okay. Something anyone in an unfamiliar place could use.

    1050 hours

"...and that's what went down," Amethyst finishes explaining what happened while attending the Deep Six reopening ceremony.

You are at the bridge of Lord Steel's crashed battleship (now your headquarters), grounded smack in the middle of the bay that gives this city its name. Agents Barrett and Blake are there, having arrived by chopper a moment after Amethyst did. Blake has an ice pack on his head.

Barrett adjusts his shades. "Cooper's challenge aside, Deep Six is long overdue for a thorough security review. We're here on behalf of AEGIS to give you a brief rundown on the prison and its systems."

"Heroes from the Justice Foundation helped test its containment systems when the prison first opened its gates in 1984. It's only fitting that AEGIS requests your assistance this time round," says Agent Blake.

"I did some Googling," Amethyst says, "Deep Six is under the control of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. But Cooper somehow got a law inserted that let him nominate personnel to the prison management. He's filled the ranks with his flunkies and thugs. We've got to expose them, or we'll be checking our six for the rest of our days."

    A pause.

"Get it?" she says with a huge grin. "Checking your six means looking behind you, and the prison's called Deep Six, and if prisoners escape--"

Barrett clears his throat. "Another pun that bad, miss Hong, and I'll be six feet under."

Feel free to write your entrance and/or interact with any of the NPC's. You may ask questions about the prison, or float concerns about testing the prison's systems with Cooper's minions in charge, for example. If you have nothing to say, I will have Barret and Blake continue their briefing.
"Hehehe, you are so silly Michelle." Gelert giggles, more at the general reaction that to the actual joke which he doesn't entirely grasp even with the explanation. Considering some of the things that Gelert had found out about recently some general silliness was a big relief. He'd have to tell the others about that later, not polite to interrupt.

"Always glad to make a friend laugh," Michelle beams, as little drones wipe off the exterior of her suit's shields.

You kill the houseplant so decisively, it nearly goes extinct.
Gelert winces a little as his nose takes in the strong scent. "Qora, are you gargling hospital disinfectant? Why would you do that? I've spent enough time around doctors to know that's probably not healthy. I mean I know you're not human and all that but still."

Note that two people must be present to operate any of the prison's systems. They're keyed to your thumbprint, so they can't be used even if someone else gets ahold of them." He closes the briefcase. "You'll be met at the prison entrance by the prison warden and his top officers. Then you'll be taken on a guided tour of the facility, then shown the restraint systems to test, and then you can leave. Any questions?"

    OOC
Each of you receives: Supervisor key. This opens any door in the prison. With two people and two keys, you can operate any system remotely from the master control room.

Unless there is something specific you want to see or something unusual occurs, the tour of the prison and the various levels will be glossed over. The next scene focuses mainly on your interactions with the prison warden and his staff, and the actual test of the restraint systems.
At the mention of 'thumb-print' Gelert spoke up. "Um...um...what about me? I don't have thumbs. Is mine keyed to my paw print or nose print?" He'd heard that canine nose prints had a similar level of uniqueness to human finger-prints.

"I had to inhale a chemical device's vapors to stop a lust induced riot from happening," Qora explains, "Because I am unable to change the profile mother set up for me on Space Tinder."

"If this is going where I think it is, I suspect they'll use this excuse to try and take your ring away from you as well."

Philip raises an eyebrow. This definitely sounded more interesting than the Eldrich/Una/Seven drama that Maxwell eluded to earlier.

"We could attempt to hide Gelert completely from them," Philip offers, not providing any details with AEGIS personnel present.

"That sounds incredibly unpleasant." Gelert says sympathetically. "I am also not approve of your Mom's parenting practices."

Gelert is clearly not happy about this. "That is a Problem. I've learned some important things today about the Ring and the Blue... I am reluctant to let it out of my sight."

"Smuggling me in? Would that defeat the purpose of this testing challenge?" Gelert wonders.

    Kisai

Philip shrugs. "Depends on whether the real goal is to test the system or find any moles."

Sometimes it was good to be young, a couple of hours sleep and she felt like a million dollars again, the encounter with White Rose put to one side to deal with their latest emergency ... letting Cooper lock them up in the latest prison.

"Right can someone tell me why this is a good idea letting Copper lock us up in a prison where I am sure there won't be anyone who has it in for us and especially when we know some of the staff are former super villains?" Imogen asked.

"Because this is a trap of opportunity than premeditation," Qora replies, "they were not planning for this to happen, so they are as blind as we are. And because if we do not accept this challenge, then any flaws to Deep Six will go unnoticed until it spills open and the inmates are unleashed on an unsuspecting city."

    a beat

"And most importantly, this is a matter of honor. We Champions are the inheritors of the Justice Foundation. Cooper has challenged our ability, and we must answer."
