    •Here's Alex Mercer, from Prototype. I haven't yet played Prototype 2, so there isn't anything new he might manifest in this build, but he's mostly an NPC there too, so I doubt it matters much.     Relationship Jill is very close with former STARS partner Chris Redfield.
    Motivation: Justice As a former soldier, police officer, and anti-bioterrosim agent, Jill is devoted to protecting civilians and stopping criminals wherever she finds them.

    •With Jill, I'm going for a MvC3 iteration of the character, so Jill has heightened physical stats and minor powers from her augmentation by Wesker, and is built to be more dangerous in combat than a more true-to-source build would be (that would probably by about PL 7 or so, with lower physical stats, combat abilities, but roughly the same skills-and more interaction skills), but this works fairly well as representing the brainwashed ninja-type Jill is in MvC and RE5.

    •Undercapped on offensive, Jill is built to feint people, grapple them, and then shoot them to death. She'll power attack Vulnerable targets for more precise kicks and strikes, and remains a slippery character good at working with a partner. If someone wanted to play a Jill more suited for a supers game, it'd be easy to tweak this build a bit to get her up to caps, drop some of the flavor skills (like Expertise: Piano) and play her as a fast ninja martial artist. Or just use her as a brainwashed villain for the PCs to save and not just pummel into the ground.

    Weakness Velocity has several "backdoor" shutdown codes written into his psyche, if activated, he could be Incapacitated, Controlled, or have his Powers Nullified, depending on the code.
    Prejudice Not everyone takes kindly to Velocity as an artificial intelligence. Conversely, there are plenty of artificial intelligences which detest the idea of Velocity working to save organics.
    Relationship Velocity is very close with his father and creator, Lawrence Reinhardt.
    Secret Velocity's legal identity is Solomon Reinhardt II.
    Youth Velocity is intelligent, highly educated, and has the ability to think hundreds of steps ahead. None of this counters the fact that he is less than five years old.

    A few years ago, Inspector Lawrence Reinhardt, Los Dios PD, was involved in a case with his partner, Detective Deborah Jenkins (also known as Soul Sista) where the criminals Query and Echo stole molecular phase technology and used it on the pair. Jenkins was rendered solid and fleshy for the first time in a long time, and Reinhardt was pushed out of phase, his Metahuman powers turning him into a kind of "digital ghost." Eventually the pair arrested the criminals, and were returned to their normal states.

    But the incident had scared Reinhardt, in a way that all his previous brushes with death hadn't. Dying was all well in good, but ceasing to be human? If he'd wanted an artificial body he would have built one for himself ages ago. No, Reinhardt was struck by a very human need, the desire to procreate. He asked Jenkins to allow him to use her DNA (the same incident had prompted Reinhardt and Jenkins to find herself a way to change her state as desired, though she still considers being incorporeal her "default") as well as his, and his own technology to create a synthetic child. A bio-android with a mixture of inorganic, artificial, and organic components, Reinhardt named the child after his grandfather, UNISON bigwig Solomon.

    Solomon Michael Reinhardt had a strange upbringing by most people's standards, but in Los Dios he fit in. Within a few years, Reinhardt and Jenkins (who while very much not together, raised the boy as partners) decided Sol was ready to be emancipated, and he is now a legal adult, one of America's small but growing population of Artificial Citizens. While much of Sol's abilities-his speed and strength-simply come from his construction, his ability to phase through solid objects is something he inherited from his "mother", and he has a minor form of his father's ability to interface with a variety of technology systems, though he can't do it at range-yet.

    While the Inspector was disappointed when his child decided not to become a law enforcement officer, he gave him his blessing when he decided to become a superhero. However, he had a tendency for getting in over his head, and for annoying the LDPD to no end, by often dropping criminals in holding cells and then letting officers know about it, so on his mother's suggestion Solomon decided to join a team...though he did first annoy his father by flirting with the idea of joining the Pantheon.

    •Created for a new Crinoverse Avengers game, Velocity is connected to my first Crinoverse character, and a little twist on the robot hero/ cheeky speedster archetypes.

    Vision was definitely an inspiration, at least as far as the biology of him went (whenever I see a build of Viz without Stamina or a Fort save, I'm reminded of the time he was knocked out by drugged food as part of a ploy by Man-Ape), but the pic and general inspiration of superfast robot was taken from a Vigilance Press product, part of their Rivals, Rogues, and Renegades series, where the robot in question is called Overlock and was built by a super villain called the Conductor. I highly recommend their stuff, by the by, the RRR collections are great, but Six Gun, a separate product, is one of my favorite villain teams.

    Infamous Firewing is well known across both Earth and his home world of Malva as an incredibly powerful and self-minded warrior.

    •Ariax Thone is from the planet Malva, once home to the greatest empire in the galaxy. But when the Malvans defeated their enemies the Elder Worm, the Worm laid a great curse on the Malvans that afflicts them to this day. The curse makes them less ambitious, less driven, and now Malva is a shadow of its former glory, its people lost in ennui and driven to the hollow spectacle of gladiator fights. Thone was one such gladiator, who had superpowers given to him (as most Malvans did) by their incredible technology, powers of strength durability, and fire projection. Eventually Thone's desire to win drove him to use combat enhancing drugs, which eventually spread throughout the arena. Disgusted by what he had become and what he helped create, Thone went to the Wisdom Stones, calcified telepathic Malvans. They berated him for his lack of honor, but told him that if he wanted true power he could still have it. He walked into the Furnace of the First Ones, a vast flame in Malva's Grand Temple that had burned seemingly forever. He walked into it Ariax Thone and walked out The Firewing.

    Now vastly powerful, he left Malva as it no longer offered him any challenge. Instead he headed to Earth, where he found challenges aplenty.

    •Firewing is generally the high-power of energy projecting types in the Champions universe (bar a few exceptions here or there) and one of the most powerful single combatants on Earth. In the Crinoverse, this is still more or less true, and Thone can be used as GM's need him, tossed into battle against upstart hero teams, challenging Earth's mightiest heroes, or to make things a little more complicated he can be thrown against another vlllain, putting the heroes and helpless bystanders in the crossfire.

    Arrogant Erica is very assured of her power, and while she's usually right to be so, she can overestimate herself with poor results now and then.
    Petulant Gravitar's biggest enemy is usually her own piques of personality and self-indulgence.
    Motivation: Power Gravitar wishes to rule the world, less as an outright conqueror and more as simply the acknowledged lord and master.
    Metahuman Pride While not quite a metahuman supremacist, Gravitar loathes those who oppress or persecute the superpowered and has had several (short-lived) team-ups with villains who champion their cause.

    Gravitar is another master villain from Champions, an extremely powerful mutant French woman with power over gravity. Having been born into wealth and privilege, Erica is also highly intelligent, beautiful and with a massive ego. All of this naturally led her into supervillainy, though Gravitar is not the typical world conqueror. Instead she simply makes flashy displays of her raw power and is usually not so much defeated as decides to run away, metaphorically stamping her feet and huffing. Given that she's incredibly powerful and more than a match for most superhero teams, the best way most PCs will have to defeat her is to outsmart her, to find something else she wants, or to try and trick her some way. All of which is easier said than done, as in recent years, Gravitar has been getting more focused, more driven, and has started to take things a little more seriously, which only makes her a greater threat.

    Gravitar might be my favorite Champions character. She's powerful enough that her actions can have enormous consequences on the game world, and she's also powerful enough that she doesn't have to care about the consequences, so she can set all kinds of plots into motion without even meaning to. IIRC, one of her first plot seeds was Doctor Destroyer getting mad at her for making fun of him, and sending robots and assassins to try to kill her. They all failed, but they caused enough collateral damage that the heroes would still want to somehow get Destroyer to knock it off. That's the quintessential Gravitar experience to me: she makes a mess and other people have to clean it up.

    What makes her more interesting on top of that is also that shes mentioned as being not as interested in taking over the world as she might be thought to be. Shes so powerful she could do it, but it would be so boring to her that she would literally just leave it to fall back to its normal routine save that she gets to do whatever she wants to.

    Gravitar wants to conquer the world in the way some people want to run a marathon:they could totally do it, they just don't want to actually put in the work required.

    Newer Champions books mention she's gotten slightly more serious but that's not saying much.

    I think she also makes a great character in that she has the same threat as Mechanon, or Silver Age Mongul (in that she can fight the strongest heroes with a chance of victory) but dealing with her can be a lot more complicated because of her flights of fancy and the amount of collateral damage she can cause.
