"I do not believe Rannas disposition will be a problem." Morpheus interjects "It would seem Doctor Quinn kept his animal patsies in a truck nearby so he could release them as a distraction."
"Shock seems to have discovered the vehicle in question near Annas home and Ranna is ok just sedated."
"I'm in agreement with Portia; we don't have the facilities to hold Dr. Quinn for long and this chase has distracted us from our main goal of dealing with Arachnos, Ill arriange for him to be 'found" by the police at an appropriate time then well proceed."
"Portia when you return please take a moment to clean up then come see me, we have an appointment to attend."
the groups trip back to the mansion is quiet and only filled with the drama of a couple of police cars passing by going the opposite direction. Back at the mansion a full spread of food and beverages is laid out for you all save Portia and Morpheus who excuse themselves with apologies to attend to some business. They do take Dr. Quinn and Anna with them promising to return her to her home and Dr. Quinn into custody.
This leaves you all to celebrate as you see fit a successful investigation and to contemplate the future ahead of you.
In a quiet corner of Los Angeles an Arachnos web explodes with action as its Wolf Spider agents run from the enemy that has assaulted them. They return fire as trained but this enemy is implacable and using her shield deflects the majority of the blasts while ducking and dodging the rest. She sweeps through the armored agents using mostly non-lethal techniques but on occasion when pressed resorting to a more dangerous methodology which leaves several agents in need of hospitalization.
Soon the statuesque woman has cut her way through the majority of her foes clearing a path for those who follow. The Aegis forces who sweep in behind her in admirable military fashion restraining those who need it and getting aid for those who do as well.
The agents thank her for the help which she acknowledges but she is restless. this is the sixth such nest of spiders she has encountered in as many standard cycles and if her experience has taught her anything such encounters in rapid succession generally leads to an infestation which needs to be eradicated, sooner rather then later.
this of course is not the first time shes dealt with this particular pestilence before when she first arrived on this world, but this something else altogether. If her years of military service have taught her anything it is that such activity is akin to the prelude to far worse to come.
She might need allies soon.
