  • True20 Revised Edition

This is going to sound like a bit of a love in but I really do like this system very much. I own the revised edition along with the Bestiary and the three handbooks (Adepts, Warriors and Experts) and recently acquired the GM screen. I can see me using it for a wide variety of games thanks to the extra sections on Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror and Modern games at the back of the rulebook (which to be honest I prefer to sample campaign settings).

If I have a criticism it is that I probably would have had a section on running Super hero games or Pulp era games as well, or instead of the Modern era. That niggle aside, and it is only a niggle, I think True20 is superb.

I think Mutants and Masterminds, GR's superhero game, uses almost the same rules as True20 - although I don't think it has roles as such.

It uses a few similar rules in places, but in the end the two are not compatible.

I kinda want a MicroLite version of True20 with some Star Wars Sage with the mix (Skills System and fix saving throws), and the monster begin more like D&D 4th, because the Bestiary version its kinda messed up.
