  • Super Powers in True20

I was looking at the rules with the idea of running a Supers game. The list of powers in T20 is pretty wide but for supers is missing the odd quirk such as stretching like Mr Fantastic.

However amongst my pdf's I ahve Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition and the powers system looks very similar so I'm gonna port powers over to T20 to supplement the powers in the core rulebook and Adepts handbook. or has someone already done that?

Yeah, whenever considering a supers game with True20, always look to Mutants & Masterminds 1st. It was designed by the same person (Steve Kenson) and a number of the play mechanics are similar. M & M 2nd edition shares even more similarities.

The 2nd edition of M&M is very similar mechanically to True20 as they were conceived and written at the generally the same time, both by Steve Kenson. I'm a big True20 fan but think the game badly needs a 2nd edition to bring its mechanics in line with some of the changes made for M&M 3e (which I consider vastly superior to M&M 2e).

Unfortunately, I think Green Ronin is moving forward with AGE as their default generic fantasy system. Not a bad system by any means, but I'd prefer a new edition of True20.

Much as I like DA as a concept, I'm with you there. Apart from anything else, it's MUCH easier to convert the huge body of d20 stuff to True20 than (D|F)AGE...
