Nice. This will be very helpful for people that I'm recommending the system to.

      Re: True srd

I suspect the problem is that Tr20 is just this side of a dead system; even most of the people who were active on the old boards seem to have largely moved on to other systems. And the activity level of this board shows it.

Although I haven't had a chance to actually play it, it is currently my system of choice, and is likely to remain so. (See my sig for the various T20 mods I've done!) It's a shame its not more widely discussed, but hopefully there are a lot more people playing it than talking about it!

I'm afraid I suspect not. Its only anecdotal of course, but when GR stopped producing product for it, and third parties moved away, I suspect strongly that a lot of people moved on. I certainly know at least a couple of the old big participants on the prior site seem to mostly be Savage Worlds guys these days.

            I'm sure you're right .

I like it's straightforward approach though, and the ease of porting the huge amount of d20 based content out there...

The sections on What is Roleplaying, The Basics, and Game Terms in the Introduction, as well as the chapter 7, Narrating the Game. I skipped these, since they seem like stuff everyone knows. And the settings are not included (obviously). The Word doc for this SRD is done. The next step is to HTML-ize it, find a web host, and get it online.

              * A concise SRD of the True 20 book. I deleted the repetitions (you'd be surprised how many times the rules explain what dazed means) and deleted a lot of unnecessary text. I was able to eliminate close to 7,000 words without changing or deleting any of the rules. The Word doc for this SRD is almost done, but I doubt there's any interest in it. I mainly created it as a stepping stone to the next project.

              * My own updated version of True 20, which I hope to publish. The working title is Adept, Expert, Warrior. It starts with the concise SRD mentioned above, then deletes a few things (Wealth, Reputation)... changes a few things (Damage Save, Diplomacy) and adds a lot of stuff (Powers from the adept handbook, Chases and warrior feats from Spycraft, Supernatural philosophies and Corruption from the True 20 Revised edition)... I also hope to create completely new sections for Steampunk, Modern, and Science-fiction genres. That's a lot of work, and nowhere near complete.
Very nice. Are you working on this on a accessible wiki? Are you looking for assistance?

I really like and appreciate what you're doing. I'm wondering how wize it is to do a SRD based on the non-revised edition. There were some clarifications/corrections to the damage system and a few other things in the core rules edition that was titled True20 Adventure Roleplaying Revised Edition. That's the edition I mention whenever I recommend the system to someone. To be honest, I doubt I'd recommend using an Online SRD to anyone that wasn't based on that edition.

You're correct that the True20 Adventure RP'ing Revised Ed. did have additional chapters on different genres. I'e compared that edition to the Pocket Ed. published a few year before it, and it most definitely does have some changes and edits in the chapters on rules, albeit they were a small % of the overall rules.
