I would love to see one as well!

I haven't played nearly enough 5E yet to feel up to the task of writing such a book myself, but I do like the combination of 5E and Freeport enough to blog about it periodically (including today's post, which gives links to my earlier columns on the subject). Hopefully there are some useful bits in there for gamers who want to play in Freerport using 5E.

          Re: The Future of Freeport

Because we recently did several giant Pathfinder products with Freeport, we wanted to hold off on a D&D 5e version. ( And keep our Freeport line focussed on Pathfinder. ) We do reevaluate these types of decisions every year at the summit.

Perfectly understandable! I'm very much looking forward to the release of the Freeport Bestiary, which I believe is due out sometime soonish?

              Re: The Future of Freeport

I'm not sure if it ever got announced here, but back in March, Schwalb Enterprises ran a Kickstarter for a Shadow of the Demon Lord Freeport Companion. That project funded and hit several of its stretch goals, including SotDL conversions of the original Freeport Trilogy. Well, today I received a PDF of Death in Freeport (I didn't back the KS, but got it as a comp copy for editing the previous v.3.5 version). In reply to my query and thank-you, Robert Schwalb said that the adventure should be available to non-backers at DriveThruRPG tomorrow, and conversions of Terror and Madness are on their way.

                Re: The Future of Freeport

The Freeport Bestiary is in pre-order now.

I got to see a near-final draft in order to help do some last-minute proofreading, and it's going to be an amazing book! It updates numerous classic Freeport monsters and introduces many more. It includes creatures of every type and terrain, native to many different parts of the World of Freeport, and all easily portable to other settings.

I received my copy of Terror in Freeport today, so it should be available for purchase within the next day or two.

Also, the Freeport Bestiary is now available in PDF from the GR online store. The print version should be available soon.
