    I know it's a quicker easier thing than over in M&M, but it's something of a tradition on the forum...

    So, show me your builds.
    Yes, superheroes should be played like paladins in capes.

    90% random roll character for 80s/90s cartoons inspired game - Extreme Time Force (History Greatest Heroes!). The only change was swap Blast and Strike for one Magic power with an Extra, and swap coordination with Prowess.

    As you see, the thing that inspired me was his low Intellect and average physical stats. We were encouraged to describe our character using action figure ideas - so I rolled trained origin, and decided to accessorize.

      I have never played ICONS, but I have the book, so I got out 2d6 and rolled one up in about half an hour ago. I rolled really darn well.

              While I have experience making ICONS characters, this is my first attempt at one for Assembled edition.

He went a little mad in the process, and now uses his devices to harm, not help

                      Below is a character I first randomly rolled up using the original rules for a game I've been playing in for the last two years around September this year we converted them over to the assembled rules keeping everything but rearranging the powers

                      Bio:
                      Ben’s grandfather was a watch maker of some renown and through his career made watches for rich people and royalty.
                      He was born on Hawaii but went to the states as a young man where he learned his trade under the tutelage of a master watchmaker. He soon found a good life for himself, married and had a son.
                      The son, Ben’s father, grew to have no interest in his father’s work and went on to become a lawyer. He to married and had a son Ben.
                      Ben’s birth was hard and he came into the world early with little hope of surviving but he was a fighter and he survived everything life throw at him. His grandfather was there all through the early days with a reassuring “only time will tell” when the next health scare reared its ugly head.
                      By the age of 12 Ben had conquered most of his health issues but the doctors advised his parents that he should be in a warm environment to help with allowing his weak lungs to work better.
                      As his grandmother had died a few years earlier and his grandfather had retired it was decided that the two would settle down back in Hawaii, he grandfather because he felt it was time to go home, Ben for health reasons.
                      All was going well and in the new environment the boy started to thrive. By the time he was 18 he’d made the football team and only rarely used his inhaler. Then disaster hit or should it be said the car hit Ben and killed him. This destroyed his family and his father blamed his grandfather and the family were split apart by the tragedy.
                      Ben’s grandfather grew more and more insular and turned to his old religion and beliefs to find answers as the years passed and the old man got more and more desperate he started to believe he could make a time piece that would allow him to go back and save his grandson.
                      One dark stormy night the old man crept into the cemetery with a machine combining modern technology and arcane tribal spells. He placed it over the grave of his grandson and turned it on.
                      Suddenly the world around the old boy blurred and he was standing on the sidewalk watching his grandson step out into the road. Rushing out he pushed the boy out of the way and was struck dead by the car. There was a rippled in the fabric of time as time itself tried to right this wound.
                      At the moment his grandfather touched him in the past his grandfather was also touching the time machine. Time did the only thing it could it tried to get rid of the one thing it could the device exploded and the resulting time wave travelled back into the past and through the grandfather and into the grandson.
                      Ben woke when his alarm clock went off he pulled himself out of bed and looked at the time it was the day of his grandfather’s funeral and he quickly got ready. He owed so much to the old man firstly for taking him in and being a father figure to him and for saving his life a week earlier by pushing him out of the path of a speeding car which killed him instead.
                      The funeral went off in a blur and Ben only faintly remembered the event his father was there but he said little to him and then his father left and that was it.
                      His grandfather had left him the house and his little shop which as a kid Ben had spent many wonderful hours watching his grandfather work.
                      With what little money was left him he learned the watchmakers trade and now at 25 runs the shop and makes a living from it.

                      The last year has been strange for Ben, he started having strange dreams about things that are going to happen soon he was not only having them while asleep and with concentration he could see things that were going to happen around him and alter the outcome of it. He also started to loose moments of time and find himself in other places when he came too. Again after concentrating he found he could speed time up directly around him. The effect made him see the world in slow motion but he moved though it at normal speed but in real time it looked like he moved as a blur.
                      Lastly he found he could manipulate time directly round him to slow down things that could possibly hurt him thus when he was shot at when a mugging went wrong he stopped the bullet millimetres from his body.

                      Realizing something had happened to him but not knowing what he decided that his abilities could be of use in the world and soon after the Time Keeper hit the streets as a hero of the now and future

                        Priscilla Connors is a brilliant scientist and inventor, as well as the leading R&D developer for Unicorn Technologies (which is ran by her father, Edgar Connors). She created and expanded on all current technologies, which led to the creation of vibrational weaponry, energetic Nanite technology, and Nano-weave circuitry (which can be imbedded into cloth).

                        Unlike many of her co-workers , Priscilla is something of an eccentric person. Shy to a fault, however she has the business acumen to continue her fathers work. She worked very close with him in developing the circuitry and mechanisms necessary to create battle suits. However it was corporate espionage, that put her father in the hospital and her taking on the Armor to stop the High-Tech thief. And so Lady Dragonfly was born.

                        Romantically speaking, Priscilla doesn’t have a love life. She could be attractive, if she put her mind to it. It would surprise many to learn , that Priscilla is more into women than she is into guys. But she is far to shy to initiate things, however her personality dramatically changes when she is “Lady Dragonfly. “ Her alter ego empowers her to do those things under anonymity , which she would be afraid to do otherwise. Most people think of her as that Nerdy girl who helps runs her father’s technology firm.

                        It was her run in with other members of the famous meta human team, The Vindicators, a team of female meta humans a few years back. Which she has been a valuable part of ever since.

                          I know this is an old thread, but I just got my hands on a copy of the original Icons, and though I do plan on picking up The Assembled Edition, I have been playing around with the character gen. I have been having quite a fun time with it too. I've randomly rolled up six characters, built another one with the optional point buy, and converted a long running Champions character to Icons. So I thought I would post them for you guys to look over and give some feedback.

                          Description: wears a black costume with American flag designed armored bits. Has a domino mask with no eye hole cut out on the left side.

                          After his parents were killed in a terrorist attack, young Samuel Wright was recruited into a program to train America's best super-agent. After years of intense physical and mental training, Sam was sent on a mission to stop a terrorist threat, which he succeeded at with flying colors. At first most of his missions were like that, stopping threats and saving lives, but eventually, the missions started to become more and more....unsavory. He became more disillusioned with his superiors as he tried using loopholes in his missions objectives so as not to compromise his morals to much. His superiors were not happy, but they had to admit he got the job done. But after a very disastrous and bad mission were Sam was injured, and lost his left eye, he walked away from his job in disgust. Stil believing in his county and wanting to do good he became a super hero. Now he battles crime and still fights for Freedom and Justice as Free Agent!

                            I as yet do not have a background thought up for him yet.

                              Description: wears a a full body costume with white mask, white arms, white chest coming to a point above his stomach. Lower costume dark, almost black indigo blue and same color gloves. Has three indigo claw marks on his chest. Mask has indigo blue elongated triangles over his eyes and running up over his head like markings on a badger.

                              Notes: Pretty pleased with this guy. He turned out really well.

                              Wade Watson grew up in a tough neighborhood, and was known as a little scrapper. Usually his temper would get the best of him, especially if someone made fun of his small stature. He was also known for not backing down from a fight and trying his best to do the right thing. This put him at odds with the local gangs, which he refused to join. Unfortunately for Wade a gang member decided to take him out with a drive by. The gang member chose to do this just as Wade was crossing the street next to a tanker truck marked "Hazardous Chemicals". The gang member actually missed Wade but the bullets punctured the tanker spilling out a weird glowing gas that engulfed Wade. He would later discover that this gas gave him strange powers of the mind. He now fights crime and the gangs as Psi-Badger!
