    Hi

    Just a quick thought.

    I really like the mechanism in Supers! RED whereby you can defend with any ‘ability’ you can reasonably narrate, but the ‘ability’ is only usable once in any round but I much prefer the powers, resolution mechanic and outcomes in Icons.

    Sooo, has anyone tried use the Supers! any ‘ability’ defence in place of the standard defence stats in Icons?

    i.e. You could use your Fire Control power to defend against a ranged attack instead of your coordination but then you couldn’t use Fire Control to attack that page.

    Does it / would it break Icons too badly?

    I use a house rule in most Icons game I GM that allows the use of defensive stunts, as in a player would use a plot point to active one of their super powers that normally wouldn't work defensively in a defensive manner - If what they are describing fits the scene and such.

    Works like a charm! More uses for pp = Players want to get more pp = Players end up doing more heroic stuff.
