  • How to do a "Forget-Me" Effect

Inspired by this article on the SCP Foundation, (http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-055) I wanted to know if there was any way for a villain to make a "forget-me" effect so that anyone he meets forgets about him in the next few moments.

Sure, mental transform. You only need the first level to change a persons memories. You could either give it a trigger (e.g happen two minutes from now)
Or choose one of the other extras to represent it happening after he was gone like poison, or homing
Still D.A.A.H.O.B. (dumb as a box of hammers).

Mental Transform (alter memories) would need to be Reaction, as Triggered requires that you take an action to set the trigger and it can potentially be disarmed in some way.

A (probably Permanent) Concealment from all Mental senses would probably work well too. If you want them to remember past experiences with you as long as they are looking directly at you, then put a Limit on it. If you want them to acknowledge that you are there when dealing directly with you, but not remember previous interactions (which would also make a HUGE Complication for you), then leave the limit off.

Elegant, I wasn't sure how to pull it off.

A quick technical question. Are inventions and limitation: unreliable (limited use) mutually exclusive.
Still D.A.A.H.O.B. (dumb as a box of hammers).

Arcanx in the print edition of Threat report uses the concealment version digitalangel mentions

Since inventions only work for a scene, I'd imagine so.

Aura of occulation: Concealment +10 (all senses, extras: continuous +1, flaws: limited to recollections, permanent -1, resistable-will -1, permanent -1) (10)

this is how it's written for Arcanix in threat report, and the description of it is that once he leaves, people forget about him

OK...thanks. Seems a little more complicated than it needs to be but what a cool ability for 10pp. If it was sustained and he dropped it after he was out of someone's view would they suddenly remember him?
