  • Weapon Damage + Ability...

    Hiya!

I'm new to the system and wanted to confirm what I *think* I'm reading.

The damage done from a successful hit with a melee weapon is, [melee weapon damage] + Strength - Armor (assumes it's not penetrating)

    ... and...

The damage done from a ranged weapon (bows, crossbows, pistols) is, [ranged weapon damage] + Perception - Armor (assumes it's not penetrating)

    Do I have that right?

Yep, basically straight from page 35 of the rule book. On page 56 is where you see the exception applied to the Bows and Black Powder weapons groups where Perception is used instead of Strength. Only other thing that could be confusing is throwing weapons, they still use strength as they did not fall under the Perception exception.
