  • Shadow Warrior stats

Shadow warriors were elite undead foes from DA 2 - they could stealth and backstab, as well as generate an aura that healed other nearby undead. Their armour rating was also pretty good.

Has anyone devised a stat line for them? I've got some PCs heading up Sundermount soon and they seem a good enemy to throw at them.

There is sadly no codex entry for them, but I have a theory - if Arcane Horrors are the possessed corpses of powerful mages, and Revenants are those of powerful warriors, then Shadow Warriors represent powerful undead rogues. They do have a stealth ability and a powerful backstab, as well as what seems to be a grenade attack - not sure where the ability to regenerate allied corpses comes from though.

Sorry, chief. I've gotten caught up in 2 rather large editing projects and cleaning up some of my own work for my Kickstarters. I'll get back to the Shadow Warrior as soon as I can spare some time.

On the plus side, I'm now running a weekly DA game again (first session is this Wednesday), so I'll likely have all sorts of NPCs and beasties to present.

              Re: Shadow Warrior stats

I haven't had the time to devise my own Shadow Warrior stats yet, but I did notice this creature from the Fantasy Age Bestiary: the Assassin Demon.

It has a couple of interesting powers - Pinpoint Attack and Murderer's Eye. The former grants extra damage in a quicker way to resolve than testing for backstab, and the latter is basically a powered up version of the Mark of Death equivalent in the assassin specialisation: +d6 damage rather than +1.

Might be worth considering for Dragon Age conversion, methinks...
