"He's real thick, ain't he?" she mused aloud, sensing the dwarf approaching without having to look. "He learns that his lover is dead, that he's got a child, and that he's missed out big time on that child growing up. And what does he do? He sits there flirting. Maker, those horns sure don't make much room for brains, do they?"

ARKEN HAWKE, Male Human Mage (Knight-Enchanter)

Secretly thankful that the hand-contact between Denarius and Hope had been broken, Arken flashed his most charming smile at the half-Qunari Inquisitor. He locked his gaze with hers, as if he were looking into her very soul.

"Oh, but I have no more stories to tell, my dear Inquisitor," he replied with a small, respectful nod, his eyes never leaving hers. "We have been raised from childhood together, here within these same fortress walls. We have shed blood, sweat, and tears together, have eaten the same food, have attended the same dreary parties together. Ours is a shared saga, and I only look forward to us making and sharing more stories together in the future."

To add flair to his short and moving (he hoped) reply, he raised his mug respectfully in Hope's direction, and brought the mug to his lips in an overly-graceful, flamboyant display of high-society-style drinking, just like Lady Vivienne had taught him.

Giving his old Friend(he'd first heard of "Red Jenny" when he was Adventuring with Arken's Uncle in Fact)a Lopsided grin,The "Independant Adventurer" replied
"That's one way to put it,i suppose. We all Grief&Guilt in our own way and Bull's no different.Just give Horns a little time..."
    Turning quickly serious,Varric whispered
"Color me curious, but what's the Deal with the"Magic Love Triangle" going on with Little Horns in the middle?"...

"To more memories Great&Small:May we never run out of chances to make them."

After taking his drink,The Blood Mage awnsered Hope's question
"That depend's,Dear Hope,on what you consider a "Good Story":I could either Regal you with life in the Tevinter Court(along with all it's Intrigues&Backstabbing),or i could tell you of some of my early adventure along-side other members of Nightengale's Organization..."

Hope nodded to Arken and agree but still wanted him to be included in the conversation. "I know. I just wanted you to be involved" as she raised her mug with Arken and drunk. She looked at Varric " I guess I will see you later Varric. It was nice to have you company us." She smiled gracefully. She then turned to Danerius "Whatever story you wish to tell. I would love any story you find appealing" She nodded and waited to see what he would pick. She hoped it won't bore Arken that he would leave. She was ignorant of what she was involved in. She moved her leg to get into a more comfortable position but her foot touched Arken foot accidentally. "Sorry Arken, I am not playing footie with you." as she kind of teased him again. She really didn't mean to touch his foot.

        SERA, Female Elf Rogue (Tempest)

"Oh, I dunno what's up with those three," Sera said under her breath. "Theirs is quite the quandary."

She nodded toward Arken. "In one corner, we have the childhood friend. Shy, reserved, and unwilling to risk their friendship, hesitation is the name of his game."

She then turned her head toward Denarius. "In the other corner, we have the newcomer. Aggressive and confident, he is a real go-getter."

Finally, she laid her eyes on Hope. "And the prize? A clueless broad that's too naive for her own good. Floundering in the problems of running an Inquisition, who's got the time for all this romantic rivalry?"

ARKEN HAWKE, Male Human Mage (Knight-Enchanter)

Arken nodded, acknowledging Hope's apology. "No harm done," he replied with a smile, despite the sinking feeling in his stomach.

In a subtle but desperate attempt to cut off the competition, Arken lowered his voice to a whisper that only the keenest of ears will hear beyond their table. "I do not mean to press, but we do have the Qunari threat still hanging over us. Perhaps it would be prudent if we proceeded to hold counsel with our guest." He then moved his eyes in the direction of the Iron Bull, who was clearly enjoying the attention of his female companion. "Lady Cassandra is already here, and I understand that Lady Leliana is on her way. We can prepare the War Council now."

He was banking on Hope taking the bait and calling for the War Council, completely denying Denarius the chance to share his stupid story.

Leaning against the rail, the writer/adventurer said to the elf(whispering it quietly so no other ears could hear)
"That would make an intresting story in and of itself,Jenn, but what i want to know is if you've heard what's been going on with the qunari. And don't give me that 'i-have-no-idea' Look you give Nightengale whenever she ask you that,i know FOR A FACT that you have a Convert for a contact in there..."

Mentally grinding his teeth at what Arken just pulled, the Tevinter Mage had to admit that he was right:The Qunari "Situation" wouldn't resolve itself so the had to eventually address it.Getting a sudden idea on how he could use this to his advantage,Denarius gave a (Slightly)exaggerated sigh as he said resignly(?)
"MUST you bring in work at a time like this,Master Hawk?Unfortunatley my Fellow Mage is correct,Milady:We have to address the Qunari "Situation" as soon as possible wnd with the relevant parties all here(or soon to be here in the case of Lady Nightengale)we might as well hold it in a friendly enviorment. But i would love to tell you of my adventures with the Lady's spies another time;Prehaps during a quiet Dinner Day-after Tommorow would be more Amendable?"...

She nodded at both of them that they needed to deal with the threat. "Ok, sounds like a plan and yes Danerius that sounds like a good idea for the dinner thing but that's if there is no interruptions of course." She got up with Arken and Danerius to the war room to speak about it. She didn't like the fun was cut short but none the less. She will pick her people over fun any day. She opened the doors and waited for Arken or Danerius to say something.

She stood on the other side looking at the map and studying deeply about it. She wondered if she even paid for her drink. She was in hush of a hurry she wasn't thinking straight about that but she thought she would pay later when this ordeal is done.

ARKEN HAWKE, Male Human Mage (Knight-Enchanter)

If there are no interruptions. That particular phrase kept echoing in Arken's head. Interruptions, he said silently in his head. That can be arranged. All this Tevinter fool would be getting for dinner is the bitter taste of defeat! It took all of his might to suppress the malicious grin that was threatening to break out on his face.

He straightened himself as the Iron Bull joined them in the War Room, followed closely by Cassandra Pentaghast. "Leliana will be joining us soon enough," she announced. "We should be able to proceed now."

Arken nodded, and turned to Iron Bull. "Well, the Iron Bull," he said with a graceful wave of his hand toward the map. "Perhaps you can share with us now, in more detail, the information that you have with regard to the Qunari and the Inquisition. Perhaps we can start with details on where you were supposed to deliver the Inquisitor upon apprehending her, and what you were supposed to do to her once she has been delivered there."

It was a fine line that Arken was walking. He intended to come across to Hope as intelligent, wise, and fully intent on solving her problems. But he also did not want to antagonize Hope's father. He didn't want awkward moments with his father-in-law during Breach-Closing Dinner in the future.

Noting the slight twitching of Arken's face made Denarius a little....Apprehensive for some odd reason. It was a look he'd seen way too many times for comfort during Tevinter Council meeting's to ignore.Deciding to wait for later to investigate,The Mage pulled a chair out for Hope(like a Gentleman was supposed to.adding that would stick it in Hawk's Face that he forgot to do that for her would just be icing on the cake for him...) as he said
"I happen to be in total agreement with Master Hawk:Anything you could give us as to the why's&wherefor's would be not only appreciated but welcomed..."

Hope nodded to Danerius "thank you for the sit. Aren't you a gentlemen" she laughed a little. She still remained ignorant of both of there emotions towards her. She looked at the map to see where Iron Bull would point. It made her uncomfortable and awkward having him in the room but she understood why they needed him.

She noticed that Arken was trying to sound intelligent and stuff. She thought to herself how cute he was trying to do that. She didn't care about his intelligence, or being wise. She grew up with him and always had a strong bond with him. She accepts him as he is.

He rubbed his chin and smirked as Danerius was acting all gentlemen like. That made him chuckle. He turned to Arken and listened to him as he was asking the location and stuff. He nodded "Alright" he pointed at the Storm Coast. "Here is where we were suppose to bring her and then my leader would do whatever.. Perhaps get information of some short. I don't see a reason why my leader would want her alive unless she had information but we were suspecting it to be Isabela" He went back into his position once more.

ARKEN HAWKE, Male Human Mage (Knight-Enchanter)

Arken was oblivious to the interaction between Hope and Denarius, so focused he had become upon the Iron Bull's response - and it being mostly uninformative.

"That is not much to go on, Bull," Arken remarked. "Unless Leliana has something new to contribute to the matter, our best course of action might be to follow the Qunari's plans. We might sail to the rendezvous point along the Storm Coast, capture this Qunari leader, and see what information we can gain."

He turned to Hope, and despite the sinking feeling in his stomach at the sight of Denarius standing so close to Hope, he continued. "Milady Inquisitor, you need not even expose yourself to more danger. Master Denarius and myself can form a specialist team and head there to handle the situation." And just in his head, he added, And if we lose a particular Tevinter mage to, say, an errant bolt of lightning or a particularly powerful gust of wind, it'd be for the best.

"That could concevably work,Master Hawk, but we have NO idea what type of force we would be meeting and while, yes between the two of us we have no small measure of power,we could possibly lose just to numbers alone.no,if we going to do this, then we do it the right way."
Turning his attention to hope,Denarius continued
"I have an idea, milady, that might work:i happen to casually know a...unique individual who works in the Dungeons as an interrogator. He's also a former Tallis for the Qunari that goes by the name of Shaddus now.if we add him&one other to the specialist team Master Hawk was talking about,we could more than handle the group there..."
Getting a sudden impulse,Denarius suddenly added
"In fact, let's alowy our Large Qunari friend here to accompany us as well, thus giving the apperance nothing is amiss with their plan..."

She thought about it for a few minutes and agreed to it as long as she is with them. She would have it no other way. "Okay, we will set out in 7 days so we can built up our supplies for the travel. I am also coming with you guys" Iron bull kept quiet and nodded.

She looked at the both of them. "so, set your things in order" stilling by Danerius she wondered if Arken or Danerius wanted to hang out after this but couldn't decide whom. She always liked company. Everyone left the room excluding Lieanna as she wanted to study the map more. "So, Danerius and Arken. Switch one of you would like to hang with me?" she wouldn't mind if both came.

Despite thinking that seven days might be several days too long, Arken nodded and acquiesced to Hope's orders. "As you command, Inquisitor. With The Iron Bull, Master Denarius, Shaddus, myself, and yourself, we already have a large enough group."

"We would also need a small crew to handle the Qunari ship. I trust that the Bull will be able to find the right crew for that."
He nodded to the Iron Bull. The towering Qunari winked at him in acknowledgment.

"Right, then," Arken said, turning to Hope with a bright, warm smile on his face. "Now that we've got all of that sorted out, let's get to 'hanging out', shall we?"
