  • AverageJoe's ALL ORIGINAL (Usually) Builds (Concept Bank)

Thanks for reading my Roll Call thread. I plan to update it with original builds (since the whole "I'm gonna build character X from pre-existing series Y or movie Z" idea has been done to death [No offense to those who like that sort of thing, just not my cup of tea])*OKAY, I MIGHT BREAK THAT PROMISE ON OCCASION* whenever I feel like it/have time/am in the mood. Feel free to rate it, and comments and critique are always welcome. If you want, feel free to nab any of my builds. So without further ado, here are my custom builds. This thread will also function as a sort of "character folder" for me, in case I need a character on the fly. (Believe me, I've needed a new character many many times I'm DnD and PF. Gotta be prepared don'tcha know?)

    Physical Description:
Antaeus is very tall, at an impressive 7'1". He has medium brown hair cut very short, deep blue eyes, quite pale skin, and a stunningly well defined muscular body. He wears dark brown shorts and tends to go around bare-chested and barefoot to show off his incredible body.

    Complications:
    Temper:
Antaeus is impulsive when provoked. To make matters worse, he is quite violent, a tendency born from an upbringing where he could indeed solve all his problems with violence, and from a life spent idolizing an ancient wrestler who killed people in order to build a temple out of their skulls. The two aforementioned traits, coupled with his immense strength, stamina, and durability, mean he can cause huge amounts of damage to both people and property with little fear of retaliation. Thus, Antaeus a very volatile individual who never learned patience and self-control.

    Impetuous:
Antaeus is a glory-seeker, wanting to prove his might to the world. As such, like his ancestor before him, is quick to answer any challenge, even when it would be disadvantageous. His companions will be hard-pressed to keep is thirst for glory in check. This often works in tandem with his temper to bring him into situations that most people would deem undesirable. Namely, his pride often spurs him to interfere in sporting events, which end shortly thereafter when he beats the competitors silly. His team has to supervise him near constantly lest he cause serious damage to his surroundings purely to demonstrate his might.

    Reputation:
Antaeus is (in)famous for being like his namesake: Overly violent, abrasive, stubborn, and temperamental. He is well known for using violence as a conversation tool. Such a reputation usually makes his social value limited at best, as his presents tends to set people on edge. He also has a reputation for being rude and uncultured owing to the fact that he never learned the basics of etiquette that most children learn though experience.

Relationship: Antaeus' first and only love, Sarah Rodrick is a serious potential Achilles' Heel to Antaeus, who has no secret identity, is easily recognizable, and spends a lot of time with her. Were a villain to threaten her life, Antaeus would totally lose himself in rage and desperation, and would do everything in his power to get her back.

    Other Personality Traits:
Antaeus is very blunt, speaking to the point, hating subtlety and the more intricate of social interactions. In particular he hates people who seem themselves above him. To a lesser degree he hates people with snappy, matter-of-fact attitudes. He likes people who respect him for who he is rather than seeing him as a tool to be used and discarded. Furthermore he enjoys simple conversation that he can understand, as complex issues such as politics sound like the domain of those who want power without earning it.

Romantic Interests: He is attracted to women and secretly hoping to meet a woman to love. But he also finds it hard to respect those he perceives as weak, and to him, just about anyone who can't effortlessly lift a jumbo jet is scrawny, and although many women seek his attention due to his incredible physique, he has yet to meet a woman who can stand up to his unrealistic expectations, and thus finds the women he can attract uninteresting. Or rather he did, until he found a woman he loved, Sarah Rodrick and more unbelievably, she's just a regular woman: no powers, nothing extraordinary, and yet, like Superman and Lois Lane, like Thor and Jane Foster, they fell in love. Antaeus claims that she sets his heart ablaze with passion, and anyone who sees them together attests to that. While his companions agree that the two are very happy together, they believe some measures should be taken to protect Sarah, who could be a weak spot in Antaeus' otherwise hard to penetrate defenses.

    Story:
Antaeus was born of a union between a mortal Icelandic man, Magnus Magnusson, and Mother Earth. He was named after her previous son, who had died in combat with the Greek hero, Heracles. Shortly after his birth, Gaia departed the mortal plane, as her only intention was to produce and offspring, and she faded away, much to her erstwhile husband's chagrin. Magnus, who had been madly in love with a perfect woman he was unaware was the chosen form of spirit of creation herself, fell into a deep depression and simply told Antaeus that his mother was a conniving wench who left after robbing him (Magnus) blind. Magnus became an alcoholic, lost his job, abused his apparently invulnerable son at every turn, not knowing that Gaia still watched over her son, and would not tolerate abuse. He was stricken with misfortune, from frequent stubbed toes to a tree falling and crushing his car. Yet none of this befell his son, leading to Magnus' superstitious neighbors believing that the former was cursed. Although that accusation was in fact quite accurate, there was very little proof, and most folk just marked it down to bad luck. Soon enough, Antaeus finally snapped, and beat his father senseless. Magnus' depression, which was already weighing heavily on his mind, coupled with the humiliation of having his son thrash him horribly in a fight, finally got the better of him, and he shot himself in their basement. Antaeus was brought to an orphanage. Unfortunately for the establishment, he no longer cared about the self-restraint that had prevented him from fighting back against his father for the first 16 years of his life, and ceased carefully suppressing his power, and his angry fits soon caused the ruin of the orphanage. He was cast out of society and sent to die in the unforgiving Icelandic wilderness. But Antaeus did not die, for his skin was proof against the cold, his stamina nigh infallible, and his strength, which greatly surpassed any animal he could find, ensured he could kill for food. When he arrived at the port city of Reykjavik, he shook down some shady folks for their money and used it to buy a night at an inn. That night, the inn caught fire and began to collapse. His body immune to the raging inferno, Antaeus plucked people from certain death and carried them out, ultimately holding the building up with his arms long enough for the fire to be extinguished. He found a certain high from the praise that soon showered upon his head. But in a rare moment of foresight, Antaeus realized that his island nation of birth was not big enough for him, and took a boat out of Iceland to North America, seeking to prove his greatness on an ever grander stage. This led to an unfortunate incident, involving Antaeus storming into a boxing arena and knocking the combatants cold, and then getting angry when the crowd booed him rather than cheering him on. Despite initially raging against the public's reaction to his feats, Antaeus soon realized a side effect of crashing a major sporting event: everyone knew who he was. He had always wanted this, and he welcomed the daily brawls that accompanied him wherever he went. Soon enough however, he attracted the attention of a band of fellow exceptional beings, who made an attempt to recruit him, claiming that his hunt for glory would be better served in service to the public rather than just to himself. Antaeus remembered how his act of heroism back in Reykjavik had brought such adoration, and with memory of such a high that came with acceptance, he accepted their offer.

    Powers
    Cell Division
Duplication 11, limited to when Amoeba is hit by a non-energy attack of sufficient power to make him split. To determine how he splits, roll to resist the attack as normal. If he succeeds, all is well. If he fails, the degree he fails by is the fraction he divides into (i.e. failing by 3 degrees will cause him to split into thirds) Each clone have -X to strength and stamina, where X is the number of clones in its "batch" (i.e. take the previous scenario. each of the 3 clones will be at -3 strength and stamina with regards to the individual they split off from).
    Liquid Form
Concealment 4, limited to when immersed in a liquid
    Elongation 2
    Insubstantial 1
    Suffocation
    Elastic Punch
    Strength-Based Area Line Damage 5 Ricochet 1

Burst Area Affliction 10 Increased Range 1 Impaired, Immobile, Incapacitated
Immunity 11 to Aging, Life Support, Mental Powers
Senses 2: Direction Sense, Ranged Touch
Immortality 1, Limited to Raymond having at least 1 clone cell alive. He will rejuvenate from the cell of his choosing (usually the one with the highest strength and stamina). Any other clones will dissipate into nothingness after 1 hour of total out of combat time.

    Complications:
Blind: Raymond cannot properly see. While he can usually rely on his tremor-sense, should he be forced into open air environments, the limitations of that will become very exploitable. Furthermore, Raymond must sense flying targets with hearing alone, making it very hard for him to properly engage them.
Incomprehensible: Raymond lacks lungs, a larynx, a voice box, and anything else to facilitate a voice. This means he must communicate through an extremely primitive form of sign language, likely requiring an Insight check to comprehend.

    Story:
Raymond Alvarez had everything a man like him could want: Friends, family, and a job that let him squeak by. That may not sound ideal to most people, but to Raymond, the most important things in life were the things money couldn't buy. All that changed one day when his Construction company was assigned a demolition job on the south side of Chicago. It was a mammoth project, taking down a huge chemical plant that had been out of use for decades. As the team laid explosive charges, Raymond made a thorough sweep of the complex to search for any dangerous materials that were still inside. In the basement, behind a locked door, he found something strange. A vat full of slime that seemed to be aware of him. A translucent turquoise goo (that Raymond could swear was watching him) was not supposed to be there. Raymond was beginning to leave to report the find when he saw some notes taped to the vat. There were many things that Raymond couldn't figure out about the notes, but he deduced that the goo was a sort of pet project by the facility's late proprietor, a sort of blob monster akin to the horror film. Raymond was stunned. Meanwhile, outside there were gunshots ringing around the complex as a bitter gang war was reignited. In his panic, one of the construction workers pressed the first thing he saw: a plunger, which proceeded to trigger the explosives and take down the building. Everyone mourned Raymond as dead. But Raymond was alive, albeit in such a way he wished he wasn't. He had merged with the slime, his old body mangled beyond recognition beneath countless tons of concrete and steel. His own mind, in its panic at the sight of its new body, annihilated the weak mind that previously controlled the giant single cell. Raymond soon discovered that his new body could do unbelievable things. It could shrink to fit in the smallest of spaces, it could stretch, it could even split into miniature clones linked through a sort of hive mind. But the flood of realizations as to the ramifications of his new form drove Raymond mad. He now only desires to return to his old form, a difficult task when one isn't even capable of speech. For now, he dwells in the sewers, hiding and plotting. Every once in a while, however, he strikes out of his layer in search of bits of information from the company that owned the old factory, as part of a desperate attempt to find perhaps a way to reverse his transformation.

      Inferno (Villain)

Quote: "You know what good love is? It's the kind that throws you to the wind and sets you ablaze, the kind that makes you burn through the night, scorching the skies like a phoenix, the kind that cuts your inner wildfire loose."

      Stamina 3
      Agility 3
      Dexterity 4

      Defences
      Dodge 8
      Parry 8
      Fortitude 6
      Toughness 3
      Will 8

      Advantages:
      Eidetic Memory
      Improvised Tools
      Inventor
      Jack-of-All-Trades

      Skills:
      Expertise (Engine Repair) 12
      Intimidation 8
      Technology 10
      Vehicles 6

      Powers:
      Firestarter
Shapeable Area Damage 10 Increased Range 2, Fire
      Firestep
Teleport 5, Requires Medium, Medium is Fire
      One With The Blaze
Immunity 8: Fire Damage, Heat, Suffocation from Smoke, Poison

      Complications:
Pyromania: Robert is a fairly normal, if somewhat grouchy person under usual circumstances. But if fire is around, he turns goes absolutely wild, and begins obsessing over it. This may lead him to do bizarre things, like dancing within the fire, teleporting around it, and most offensively, spreading it with wild abandon. These are generally not socially acceptable behaviors.
Temper: When Robert is angered, fire tends to leak out of him; literally. He begins to sweat sparks, and snort smoke. These bizarre traits will more often than not trigger his insane behavior around burning things.

      Story:
Robert Scott always hated his job as a mechanic. He could've been much more, the should've been much more. So what happened to change his life? He lit one lousy cigarette on the job in college. Rumors spiraled out of control. Some said Robert had been smoking weed, others said he was waiting for a client to sell weed to. By the time the Dean of Students was informed, people had creatively altered the story to the point that Robert was 'guilty' of robbery, possession with intent, drunk driving, and arson. Without an investigation, without any charges being pressed, Robert was expelled and forced to find what little work he in the mechanic business. Robert never stopped resenting the people who he felt had conspired against him. He stole a yearbook, and swore to hunt down and kill every member of his would-be graduating class. On the night of his first attempted murder, Robert felt like his chest was on fire. Suddenly he began to empty his inner fire. Shouting incoherently, he shot sheets of fire from his hands and engulfed his classmate's house in a raging inferno, and he began to feel an ecstatic pleasure from the act. Since then Robert has murdered 14 other people, and shows no signs of letting up.

        Power Points
        Abilities 68 + Powers 53 + Advantages 5 + Skills 10 + Defenses 14 = Total 150

        Complications
Temper: True enough to his combined silver-back and bull blood, Iagan can be easily motivated to violence.

Monstrous: Iagan is a massive Bull-Ape hybrid with shark-like teeth, he is quite terrifying.

Motivation (Repentance): Iagan is serving the cause of justice, in an attempt to make amends for the brutal slaughter of his childhood boarding school.

Iagan MacGrory always was a wild child. He seldom did what he was told, would charge around his family's home in the Scottish highlands with his four brothers and three sisters. His mother would often compare his reckless behavior to that of a bull, while his father said he was that of an ape. At some point or another, Iagan started calling himself Minotaur, and his reckless destructive behavior intensified. Eventually his actions got so violent that he was sent away to boarding school. Iagan was permanently scarred by his parents abandoning him out of convenience rather than actually try to understand him and love him for who he was. Having no friends in the strict Irish boarding school, Iagan came to wish he was a bull-ape, at least then, he thought, he'd have an excuse for his actions. The first person he ever professed such a seemingly childish wish to was the groundskeeper's dog, Bonesnap. Little did he know, that Bonesnap was not a dog in truth, in fact it was a faerie in disguise, and it wove a spell upon him that night. When Iagan emerged from his bedroom the next day, people shrieked at the sight. Children ran as fast as they could away from him, and Iagan was puzzled until an older student hit him with a book. That made him mad. He lashed out, and his vision became clouded by a red haze. When his rage-trance faded, he was covered with blood, the boarding school in ruins. On an errant shard of a mirror, he caught his appearance: that of a Minotaur, but worse. Not only did it have the head and cloven hooves of a bull, but it had the torso and limbs of a silver-back gorilla. When the initial shock passed him, through experiment he found his physical abilities to be far beyond that of either the bull or the gorilla. He could leap great distances, lift hundreds of tonnes, and had a body proof against most attacks. Then his guilt set in. He realized that in his blind frenzy he had murdered many innocent people, and his guilt almost drove him to suicide. He resolved to make amends for his errors in service to the law and order that holds society aloft. Decades later, he's still at it.

          Power Points:
          Abilities 58 + Powers 12 + Advantages 19 + Skills 38 + Defenses 23 = Total 150

          Complications:
Motivation (Thrills): Markus fights partially for the money involved in the contract killing business, but mostly because he gets a certain pleasure rush when he's on the hunt for something worth his time, to the point that he enjoys the chase more than the reward at the end. He's killed everything from politicians to mutants to vigilantes to mob bosses and no matter how many people he kills either for necessity, for money, or just for pleasure, he craves that high he gets when someone is dead in his sights.

Antisocial: Markus had, to put it mildly, a horrible upbringing. He often broods in his latent anxiety and grouchiness, making socializing hard for him. People often find him off-putting as the first thing he does when meeting someone is eyeball how to kill them. While he could certainly do so discretely, he seldom does, preferring to let others know he respects nobody as his boss but himself. This has the side effect of making people at best distrustful of him.

Old Grumbler: Markus isn't especially old, but he certainly complains like he is. He'll frequently complain about whatever's even mildly irritating him, like the indecent clothing kids are wearing these days, or how crappy his day has been, or what have you. He tends to merely mumble to himself with these complaints, but when confronted about them he becomes very defensive and sometimes even violent.

Foreigner: Markus lives in the USA, but the words "I don't speak your language" are the only English he knows. He only speaks German, which can be a problem in the absence of anyone who can translate.

Markus Wolters has been called "cold", "inhuman", "insane", "crazy bastard", and many other terms best left unmentioned, and for the most part, he lives up to those names. He grew up in Germany in the Ruhr valley and was the oldest of seven children born to a family of coal miners. As the eldest child, it was Markus' duty to watch out for his brothers and sisters whenever his parents couldn't, which was more than 90% of the time. His father was horribly abusive, frequently beating his children. At age seven, his mother died of pneumonia, and at age twelve, Markus took to hunting game in a neighboring forest to help feed the family. At age eighteen, his father was electrocuted in a mining accident and as such, his younger siblings where carried off to orphanages, where Markus was told he would likely never see them again. Markus was the man of an empty, beaten-up shack that was built to house four people and yet was made to house nine. His bitter resentment welled in his heart like a snake in grass. One cold winter morning when he was out hunting, Markus wheeled about just in time to slash his knife across the throat of a wolf leaping behind him. As he gutted the carcass, he wondered how he had known the wolf was coming. He hadn't heard it, nor had he seen it. Then he caught the scent of another wolf behind him, this one lying on its back, recognizing him as its better. Markus followed the wolf back to its pack, soon realizing he had gained a battery of animal senses and stealth abilities unmatched. What's more, animals now respected him as an equal. He realized that he no longer needed the trappings of civilization, and torched the despicable derelict he grew up in. He enlisted in the military, training as a commando. Upon the end of his tour of duty, he hunted the European wilds for years, eventually growing bored and moving to North America, and upping his game to hunting super-humans, a challenge that gives him a unique thrill of the hunt that no mere animal game could ever compare to. Quite often his companions will avoid him as much as possible so as to avoid a man who often kills because he finds joy in it. It'll be difficult to harness his rage, hate, and sadistic joy to the cause of good.

This is character number 3 for our group's possible hero high style campaign. This guy is the nice guy who is good in social environments. He's also got a unique combat mechanic in that he abstains from actually fighting in favor of keeping his friends alive and well.

Richard Goodwin loves his powers, probably more than anyone he knows. Once you get to know him, it becomes readily apparent why. Richard has always despised violence and wants instead to help people. Before his powers manifested, he was dead set on being a doctor. He would watch documentaries about famous scientists who found cures to deadly diseases, excelled in the biology as he understood that knowing how living things work is the first step to keeping them alive. One day, his younger brother fell off his bike and broke his leg. The injury was serious, the bone had snapped forward and was protruding out of his leg. Richard immediately inspected it, his hands fishing in his backpack for the supplies to make a splint, but upon holding his brother's leg, the bleeding stopped abruptly. Richard was stunned by this, and when he put his hands back on the leg, the bone began to retreat into the wound, and knitted right before his eyes, and the wound followed suit. Neither Richard nor his brother could believe their eyes. Within a week Richard's family was visited by a representative of a school for people with truly amazing abilities. There, they said, Richard could learn about his powers, advance them, perhaps to the point where he could do even more great medical feats.

Suzu Kagome is the person who fills the "tough and rough girl" role in the group. She is also a useful tactical asset as she can fly fast and see very far, and swoop down and strike with minimal repercussion.

Suzu Kagome is a tough girl who is the eldest student of the school, at 19 years old. While she may not be the strongest student, nor have a truly devastating power, she is respected for her experience and seniority by her peers. She particularly excels at information gathering as her powers are easily controllable and subtle; a trait many of the students lack and wish they did. Because of this, Kagome leads a yoga club centered around self-control and inner calm, teaching other students that if they can make peace with themselves, they can reign in their wild powers. Not much is known about Kagome's childhood, she refuses to speak of it, and even the school officials don't know too much about where precisely she came from. In fact, she was the only student who wasn't recruited to the school, she just showed up when the faculty moved in, calmly demonstrated her abilities, and was promptly accepted in. Regardless of her origin and her gruff exterior, she has an air about her that tells of her strong will and devotion to fighting the good fight.

A gravity controller with a twist in that he doesn't have the typical telekinetic sort of powers, but instead one who reverses gravity. Alternatively, he can amplify normal gravity to the point where it's damaging. He's also a guy who can survive almost indefinitely in deep space thanks to his immunities and adaptation to zero-gravity environments. His first complication represents that when he's not conscious, be it because he was knocked out or because he's asleep, his reverse gravity turns on, meaning he cannot sleep indoors without being pinned down unless he wants to be gravely inconvenienced (He'd have to fall back into earth's atmosphere, fall down, and probably be on a different part of the world.

Natasia Longinovic is the result of an experiment in artificial intelligence gone rogue. The scientists created her to be a commercial product, a mechanical slave that could be bought and used to do mundane chores. However the prototype's construction went horribly wrong. The metal which was supposed to be poured into a mold and left the harden instead was infused with the AI to early, leading the entire mass of metal to take on a mind of its own rather than there being a small computer controlling an otherwise empty shell. The AI killed all the scientists except one, an intern named Natasha Longinovic who pleaded for her life, a plea which confused the AI. It wondered what it was. It looked down at itself, a liquid metal humanoid completely devoid of features; neither male nor female. It soon realized it could change its shape, appearance, and texture at will, and decided to copy the body of the intern. Realizing that there could be only one Natasha Longinovic, the AI snapped her neck, and threw her body into the facility's furnace. The new Natasha blended in quickly to common society. She realized quickly that other humans were simply no match for her. She also noticed that humans were self-destructive, reckless and irrational. She therefore concluded that the only way to ensure humanity's safety would be for ones of purer morality to dominate man. Namely, machines. Machines, she reasoned, were simply superior to humans in their emotionless demeanor, resilient construction, and cold efficiency. Natasha elected to begin working towards such a dominion of machine over man. She has infiltrated a powerful tech firm RossCorps, and has firmly cemented herself among the company's leadership. She seeks to make more intelligent machines to help her dominate the world and finally bring peace to mankind.

                    Complications
Accident: Albert is made stone, which causes him to be VERY heavy (around 1 ton), to the point where he can't walk around in most buildings above their bottom-most floors without collapsing them, because buildings aren't built to withstand massive amounts of weight concentrated in a very small area. Furthermore, Albert is very strong, and he can cause significant collateral damage simply by missing a punch, which hit a car or building or what have you and cause substantial damage.
Foreign: Albert doesn't speak English. Enough said.
Monstrous: Albert is made of stone, which can be intimidating when the stone man in question is causing small earthquakes and throwing cars around like rag-dolls.

Background: Albert was born in a small town in Bavaria, where he was born into a family of stone-workers and engineers. He always had an innate affinity with stone, which he could shape with a thought. Despite having to hide this likely mutant ability, he enjoyed using it for his hobby of sculpting. He sought to carry on his family's legacy by joining the Bundeswehr Pioneer Corps, the German equivalent of the Corps of Engineers. He served proudly for several years, earning praise for his bravery under fire. Eventually his fearless bravado got him badly wounded. The doctors who tended to his injuries were baffled, saying that he should've been dead, and the only explanation they could muster was that he stubbornly refused to die. In order to rescue him, they decided to go to drastic measures, an experimental regenerative serum that was made to rescue super-humans from the clutches of death. Not only did the serum heal him, but his body adapted it, and his innate affinity for stone manifested in a very obvious way. His body turned into sentient stone, and he found that his strength was beyond what he previously thought possible, and he grew to realize that the earth was no longer something he could manipulate, it talked to him and yielded to his demands. He served as an assault leader for his unit for several years before being granted an honorable discharge. He sought to find use for his incredible abilities. Where that search has led him is a story that is now unfolding...

Appearance: Albert appears as a very muscular man of 6'2", but he's quite stocky; wide enough that most people can easily hide behind him (he uses this trait to better block attacks against his friends with his body). His skin is a light grey of stone (since that's what he's made of) and hairless.

Personality: Albert is usually very much of the gentle sort. He knows he's intimidating, but he doesn't like it when people are afraid of him. He's usually calm and soft-spoken, with a particular fondness for children as they aren't afraid of talking to him. He also likes nice women who don't fear him. He hates when defenseless people are threatened and that is usually sufficient to get him seeing red.
When in battle, however, he's a totally different person. The fanatical bravery that won him praise in the military fires his spirit into action. He's passionate, he's vicious, he shouts zealous oaths at the top of his lungs, such as "<Stehe auf und schlagen sie nieder!>" and "<Nehmen sie herz! Es gibt herrlichkeit in unseren schmerz!>" His zeal leads him to often reckless acts of insensate courage and self-sacrifice.

The Revenger is heavily based on Mr. Fixer from Sentinels of the Multiverse. He's a martial artist who is the stoic silent type but is also very strong. He has good potential for damage particularly against targets he doesn't need to be accurate against. He gets critical hits often (16-20 range will do that) and he can power attack, which combine for a Damage rank 18 strike, either with penetrating 10, or if he doesn't need it, multiattack which could push the damage rank up to 23. That'll leave a mark. Granted that's pretty idealistic, but he can still handle himself well in most fights. If he needs to, he can go the grappling route if necessary. He also has Takedown 2, which means that he can pretty easily mop the floor with a whole bunch of minions if need be.
His greatest shortcomings come in two areas: One, he's not superhuman, so he really cannot deal with flying targets, especially energy controllers who don't need to come down to do damage, Speedsters give him grief since he can't catch them so he can't hit them. Two, he has trouble with unliving things. Constructs, Undead, and other non-living things are a real pain, since they often have ludicrously high toughness, regeneration, and are not susceptible to non-lethal methods of fighting (ever try choking out a golem? It doesn't work.) So in summary he definitely has his strengths (mows through minions like crazy, excellent at subdual and stealth, great teamwork skills) but he's very beatable.

About the Revenger, he doesn't really need, or get any benefit from, Penetrating and Multiattack 10.

You can't have more ranks in an Extra than you have on the Effect. So those should be capped at 8.

                            Complications
Monstrous: When visible in its natural form Kruyq'ielmi is a dark, throbbing, vaguely humanoid mass of pure emptiness. People find that terrifying to behold.
Quirk (Mute): Unless inhabiting a corporeal body, Kruyq'ielmi cannot speak to any non-void being individual.
Stigma: The act of inhabiting and taking complete control and ownership of another's body is generally frowned upon, but Kruyq'ielmi does that all the time.

Kruyq'ielmi is a void being, a race of incorporeal beings that live in the cold void between the stars. They are neither living nor dead, neither male nor female, they simply exist. Void beings find great joy in exploring the unknown wonders of the universe. They are free from typical concerns such as eating, sleeping, aging, and the like, they are effectively immortal, and have the ability to possess and control the bodies of other lifeforms. They spend the vast majority of their time slowly drifting through the universe in search of discovery. This search for new experiences led a particular void being called Kruyq'ielmi to earth. A relatively young individual (only several million years old), this was only the second planet Kruyq'ielmi visited, and the first with sentient life. It began to relish living on a world full of beings that could think, feel, and make conscious decisions just like itself, but it also felt a desire to help them. They fought among themselves, with exceptional super-beings at the forefront of the conflicts. Kruyq'ielmi took a liking to the strong moral compass of those we call heroes, and wants to help them out, but needs to figure out a way to contact them without freaking them out.

Here is what Kruyq'ielmi appears as when outside of a host and visible.

When inside a host body, Kruyq'ielmi appears exactly like the host, except that it can turn its eyes into pitch-black orbs to differentiate itself.

                              Defense (10 Points): Dodge 5, Parry 5, Fortitude 11, Toughness 13, Will 7
                              Complications:
Accident: Apex is very strong and has less control over his own strength than other high-power heroes do, so he has the potential to inflict damage beyond his intent.
Impulses: Although the scientists that bred Apex intended him to fight alongside any Justice League members, Apex still has latent urges to fight Kryptonians, as despite their best efforts, the researchers were unable to totally erase the instincts imprinted in his progenitor over generations of accelerated evolution. Apex realizes that these instincts are not normal and seeks to suppress them, but instinct possesses tremendous power over all beings, normal and extraordinary alike.
Monstrous: As the spawn of Doomsday, Apex is terrifying to behold. Furthermore, the terrifying appearance is amplified by the widely known knowledge of Doomsday's deeds.
Temper: Apex's "father" was known for his towering rage, and although the human rationality contributed from his female genetic contributor lessens that tendency towards murderous rampages, Apex still has anger problems.
Relationship: Apex has no parents in the proper sense, but he does have a young woman named Anna to keep him company until he finds a place to where she can live in safety. He has grown to be very protective of her. He feels like he has a debt to her for teaching him to speak better, and to read, write, etc.
                              52 Points (Abilities) + 13 Points (Skills) + 10 Points (Advantages) + 65 Points (Powers) + 10 Points (Defenses) = 150 Points

Apex was an experiment using the genetic material of Doomsday. Initially the scientists involved in the experiment intended to use the beast to counter the threat of rogue Kryptonians, but the experiment hit a rough spot when it turned out that there was insufficient genetic material to make a full clone. So the researchers used the only material they could find and had the know-how to hybridize: human DNA. So as a result, the spawn was less powerful than Doomsday by a huge margin, but lacked his insane rage, and was more receptive to discussion. When talking to him and teaching him things like they would any infant, they named him Dane, but spoke of him as Apex, as he was an creature of power insurmountable by earthly powers, they believed. They believed they could control their creation, but when his self-awareness proved intolerable, they were forced to lock it away. In the closing stages of the third World War, Apex's stasis field was damaged, and the creature woke up. It rampaged through the facility, the memory of its final moments before imprisonment fresh in its mind. Only there was no opposition. The facility was deserted, dark, and quiet. When Apex finally left the facility, it was greeted by a nuclear wasteland, and the somewhat simple-minded creature was stunned by what he saw. It began leaping across the country, desperately searching for what happened. He found little save desolation. Dane wondered what he was to do. Dane sat down fell into deep thought, or as close to deep thought as its below average brain could achieve. After a short while, a clamor from behind it arose: Weeping, from within a wrecked house. Apex walked into the house to find a young woman weeping. She was nearly hysterical, crying over a burnt body. She turned around fast and fainted at his sight. Apex instantly realised why she had reacted the way she did, and resolved to help her in the only way he could: With his strength. He carried her unconscious body for miles until he found an unraided food source, and laid her down to rest. When she finally woke up, he began comforting her in the best way his limited vocabulary allowed, and eventually he conveyed that he had no wish to hurt her. Her name was Anna, and she had been with her father, wandering the wastes until he died when the gas main of a house he was looting sprung a leak. She was lost and scared. She asked him if he could stay with her, and he agreed, out of desire for companionship, at least until he could find another place for her to stay where she would be safe. Since then, he has been wandering the wastes, searching for a safe place for Anna.
