          Local Hero: Sonic has always taken a special interest in Lincoln and Southside parts of Freedom City.

          Relationships: Sonic is close with his former mentor, Wilson Jeffers, as well as his teammates and his family.


          Background: Lemar had already graduated from Claremont Academy and was well on his way to becoming an established solo hero, working to fill the gap left by the disappearance of not only FORCE Ops but the Freedom League's expansion team.

          When MEDUSA attacked Claremont Academy he rushed there to help as much as he could, unfortunately there were still heavy losses despite Lemar's efforts. In the aftermath Lemar realized that Freedom City needed a team of heroes and soon enlists Elite, Epitaph, Changeling and Rebound to join him in protecting the public, staying together for several years and facing all manner of threats as the team known as Heroes Inc.

          Six months ago Elite chose to leave the team following his being approached to become the new Raven and moved to New York, citing to the fact that he needed to "establish himself within that legacy". This was followed up a few months later by Rebound being contacted by Max Mars to join the recently returned FORCE Ops in Emerald City and accepting, saying that he needed "a change of pace". However, Lemar decided to find new members to fill the gaps left by those departures, which at the moment include Ronin, who was formerly known as the new Archer, that has split from FORCE Ops after they returned home in order to stay close to his mother in Freedom City. Not that Lemar is content to only be part of the team he founded. In fact he works on his own, taking care of Lincoln and Southside on a very regular basis and his old stylized "S" still appears in the local graffiti that shows he still is close with the youth that live in his neighborhoods. When not in costume Lemar runs Wilson Jeffers youth center in Lincoln, living there in those rare times he's not hitting the streets.

          Granted it makes Lemar's life very busy juggling all those different aspects and he's been considering going public with his identity in the idea that it would be helpful in his efforts to be a role model to the kids he works with but worries that it might instead endanger them as well as his own family.

            Background: Changeling was one of the hardest hit by MEDUSA's attack on Claremont, her grieving left her unable to leave her room for over a week once everything was said and done. She was also one of the few students to remain afterwards and would eventually graduate from Claremont Academy. For a while afterwards she drifted about Freedom City, using her powers to help others to deal with the problems they had in their lives only to fade back into obscurity once she was done.

            Eventually Elite tracked her down and told her about the group that Sonic was putting together that he was joining and that she would always have a place there. After a long night of soul searching Changeling decided that she was ready to be amongst friends again and contacted Sonic at the youth center he was running in Lincoln and told him that she'd take him, and Elite, up on their offer. To help Changeling better develop her social skills, which were still a bit lacking despite her time spent at Claremont, Sonic made her part of the staff at the youth center where she dealt with the street smart kids on a daily basis. And while at first she was considered somewhat "odd" or "weird" by the kids that come to the center they could tell she was sincere in her efforts to help them and that she didn't pity them (which went a long way to allow her to build trusting connections with them) and "Ms. Regan" has gone on to become one of the more respected members of the youth center's staff.

              Motivation ~Greed: Curaré seems to be interested in making as much money as she can and is apparently willing to do virtually anything to get it.

              Oddly Quiet: Curaré never speaks. It is unknown if she is mute or simply chooses not to talk for some reason.


              Background: What few rumors that exists about her say that Curaré has connections to the Cult of the Red Banner, which is supported by the style in which she carries out her assassinations. But AEGIS has been unable to make any clear connection between the woman and the organization. What is known is that Curaré is deadly and has an almost perfect record of carrying out her assignments, her only loss was to the Raven (II) though Curaré did manage to escape police custody following their exchange.

                As Mother Earth, she seeks to both increase her personal wealth as well as the power of Gaea Stone as she learned that by submerging it into an potion (the main ingredient being broken down artifacts) increases the power the of the Gaea Stone (according to legends, at max power the Gaea Stone can rearrange continents). The Lodge is greatly interested in taking the Gaea Stone from her of course but so far they've had little luck in their efforts so far.

                  Background: Miranda Shapen was a jewel thief who stole a cursed ruby from a museum in Serbia.                       Just Playing The Game: Hardwire takes a sadistic enjoyment out of using his powers against highly skilled, super powered targets just as much as he does going after people who stand not a snowball’s chance in hell of beating him.

                      Temper: Hardwire can become highly agitated when things don’t go his way.


                      Background: A contract killer who was in Emerald City to fulfill a job, Carl Malone found himself caught in the Silver Storm and like so many other people that day was part of the riot of super powered people that immediately followed that event. However, while he enjoyed the chaos he caused, Carl had enough sense to get while the getting was good and managed to leave the scene before ECPD arrived to try and contain the calamity.

                      Laying low over the following days Carl still ended up being part of the Stormer Army gathered by the Commander thanks to her machine that dominated the minds of anyone victimized by the Silver Storm, but once again Carl escaped notice as he ran off as soon as the Commander’s mind control device was destroyed. Resuming his job, Carl completed his contract, enjoying how much easier his newly gained powers made it, and simply started charging more for his services and widened the kinds of jobs he took since his powers made things so much easier for him.

Unfortunately for Rex he’s been successful enough to come to the attention of the people at Fabricators Inc. who instantly recognized their missing product and are carefully watching his every move so they can put together a comprehensive profile for the D-Team to use when they go to collect Fabricators’ stolen property.

                          Motivation ~Revenge: Shriek was driven into crime when his work was stolen by his employers at Grant Conglomerate.


                          Background: Originally Walter Shreeve owned a small technologies business that specialized in acoustics, but due to his own mismanagement his company went bankrupt only to be bought out by Grant Conglomerate. When Shreeve confronted Grant personally, the man admitted he only wanted Shreeve's technology to develop weapons to sell and explained that since Shreeve had turned down an earlier offer to buy his devices Grant had used his influence to ruin him.

                          Angered by the turn of events and feeling that he had no other options, Shreeve built a suit of power armor that incorporated many of his devices to avenge himself and calling himself Shriek, Shreeve went after Grant several times only to find himself facing off against the Raven II. Now years later, Shriek has become less focused on Grant and more focused on simple crime for profit - either committing robberies or selling his technological skills to others who might be in need of them.

                            Background: Killshot is arguably one of the most sought after superhuman mercenarys on the black market today. Her success rate as an assassin is second to none but she also takes assignments as a spy, saboteur, or simply as hired muscle. She established a base of operations in Emerald City during the city’s quieter days when it had a reputation as a safe place for people being pursued by the law to lay low. However, since the Silver Storm, she has stayed to exploit the myriad business opportunities that have since arisen.

                            Killshot’s background has been buried so expertly that nothing about her is known for certain. What little law enforcement agencies think they know about her is due to many hours of investigation and a small amount of guesswork. She’s a female in her late 20s or early 30s that is in peak condition and exhibits physical coordination that surpasses that of an Olympic-level gymnast. Her posture and demeanor suggest a military background while her tactical finesse indicates that she’s received training in an elite covert agency, most likely thought to be the Israeli Mossad based on Killshot’s usual tactics.

                              Quirk ~Competitive: Not one to back down from a fight, Snapdragon will attempt to defeat anyone who challenges her, martial artist or not. If challenged, she has to make a Will Save [DC 20] to walk away without throwing a punch.


                              Background: As a kid Linda Witherspoon was a diehard fan of martial arts: movies, anime and comics, mimicking whatever moves she could in hopes of emulating the characters she loved. When she was eight, Linda’s parents enrolled her at a local dojo and while she enjoyed the experience the other students had a problem with their new classmate beating them up using her self-made style and they quickly decided to teach her a lesson by jumping her after class one day.

                              Even though she'd been the one attacked, Linda's violent response got her ejected from the dojo, though Linda was convinced that she’d finally begun her journey to become a master of martial arts. And after several attempts to wander on her path. which her parents viewed as her trying to run away from home, Linda soon found herself kept under a close eye as they monitored her every move. However, like her heroes from the movies Linda wasn’t easily defeated. When she was thirteen she finally managed to succeed by sneaking out of school to cover her getaway so by the time anyone noticed her absence Linda was already a stowaway on a freighter ship headed for China. However, the world she expected to find was very different from the one that Linda found herself in.

                              Alone, cold, and hungry in a foreign port, Linda wandered aimlessly, surviving off of garbage and sleeping in alleyways. It was there that Master Lu Yan, who was considered to be the local kooky old man by most of the community, found her and took the young girl under his wing: bringing her to his home under the city, and providing her with decent food and safe shelter. Linda explained that she came to China to become a great warrior and the old man replied with a smile saying that he could help that dream become a reality. Eagerly agreeing, Linda only had to wait until she regained some of her strength before Lu Yan started her training a few days later; running the girl through various tasks that built the girl’s strength, agility, and cunning over the next several years.

                              Although the teen stumbled at first, she soon found herself able to tap into talents that she’d never imagined existed. During a routine training session, Lu Yan showed her how to focus her chi in hopes of seeing her progress. The ensuing strike destroyed a steel-plated door and ripped up the floor twenty feet in front of her. Impressed with his pupil’s raw talent, Lu Yan had the girl pack their things and led her out of the city and into the heart of the country itself, all the while making stops to train before camping for the night. Finally, after months of travel, they reached their destination: the base of Amne Machin. It was here that Lu Yan told Linda a story about his past that involved his becoming part of a grand, secret sect of warriors and his fall from grace after he went against his masters’ edicts to defeat a demon that had infiltrated their sacred order only to lose and then be forced to watch as the demon destroyed the other members of his order before beheading his master while leaving Lu Yan alive to suffer with the knowledge that it was because he was not strong enough to defeat the demon. In decades since he’d sought a student that would be his tool of revenge upon the dark creature, but before Linda could be his weapon, she first had to master the chi techniques that he had only just started to teach her.

                              Training at the base of the mountain for the next five years, Linda grew into adulthood as her skills as warrior matured. By the age of twenty she’d not only adapted several martial arts into her own unique style, but she also allowed mastered a number of chi techniques that granted her amazing powers and abilities. Feeling that his student was finally ready to enact his vengeance, Lu Yan had Linda scale the side of the mountain in hopes of reaching the top. Once there, she found the remnants of a mountain village that had been destroyed long ago by some kind of fire.

                              Rummaging through the charred ruins, she came across a strange mask that seemed to be calling out to her. Compelled to put it on, Linda felt a surge of power flow through her, one that tainted her; making her into a proud and spiteful warrior that was not only arrogant, but also mean-spirited. The demon that Lu Yan had hoped Linda would defeat had taken his student and made her its play thing. Laughing at her mentor’s robbed vengeance, Linda headed back down the mountain-side to confront her former master. However, when Linda reached the bottom she was quickly assaulted by her mentor, who had felt his pupil’s darkened chi from half way up the mountain. Nevertheless, the girl he had trained had become more powerful than he had expected and Lu Yan soon found himself on the defensive. Letting loose her anger, Linda not only defeated her former teacher, but through the use of her dark abilities, she absorbed her former teacher’s own chi, leaving behind a withered, lifeless husk. She could feel the immense power of her teacher’s chi flowing through her and came to believe that she could beat anyone which would eventually let to her becoming the most powerful martial artist on the planet.

                              Linda used the next few years to wander China, defeating several other warriors by absorbing their chi, and leaving them either powerless or dead in her wake. Thinking back to her childhood, Linda realized that she should have a flashy name and costume, so using money she'd earned through fighting she had a costume made for her and began calling herself Snapdragon. It was in this identity that Linda continued her quest throughout the world, fighting whoever she came across and robbing them of any chi they had. Eventually her travels brought her back to the United States where she encountered her first superhero, and her first loss in battle. While stalking the streets of Bay City, Snapdragon came across Seeker, of the Champions, who exuded a large amount of chi and challenged him to battle without hesitation. Even though Seeker declined, Linda attacked anyway, but the battle didn’t last very long, and Linda not only found herself defeated but arrested as well. Yet no mere jail could hold Snapdragon and she used her powers to escape, swearing that there would be a rematch before leaving the city.

                              Linda now finds herself in Emerald City, settled into the Eastern District, while spending much of her time fighting in underground matches of Stormfront in the hope of further improving her combat skills as well as expanding her chi-based abilities. Lately she’s begun to hear rumors about a ninja who supposedly possesses chi-based abilities based on spiders, something Snapdragon finds very interesting. Then there is the rumors of a man known as the Dragoneye….

                                All of this is very interesting, but I'm waiting for a very specific villain. A bright and sunny villain with a caustic disposition and sarcastic wit.
