    Re: Guardians of Thessaria

    Human Lands

The humans lands occupy the Southern half of the continent. Including the capital city of Calderis, there are 3 large cities, the existence of the other two being possible due to the discovery of Builder "portals" in those areas that allow instantaneous travel between that location and a hub location under Calderis. There are several more trading towns that have reached a decent size due to the wealth from all the trade funding the permanent stationing of a team of Guardians within them. Most other settlements remain fairly small in size, dependent on patrolling Guardians and the ability to appear as a "low-value" target in order to avoid trouble. Dirt road traveled by horse and carriage are the main means of traveling between them.

      Lands of the Grand Coven

While three of the most powerful witch families were able to carve out their own kingdoms in the Northern regions (the Wildlands, the Deadlands, and the Techlands), there were still a scattering of smaller "witch-states" that a variety of different witches called home. In order to safeguard themselves from both their more powerful counterparts AND the humans and their Guardian, they banded together to form one united state (although still divided into distinct regions.) This state is ruled over by the Grand Coven, comprised of the most powerful witches from each region. They serve to keep the peace between the region within Coven territory (or at least "put on a show" of doing so), while also ensuring their safety from external sources. It is not uncommon for the various regions to try and increase their area of influence, whether over other regions within coven territory or over the territory of their neighbors (the human-, tech-, wild-, and deadlands.)
