  • Mutants and Masterminds Deluxe Gamemaster's Guide errata

    Here is all the errata I've found up through chapter 3.

    • Weaken, page 7:
    your target makes a Fortitude or Will Resistance check against (10 × Weaken rank).
    That x should be a +.
    •
    (see Fantastic Frontiers, see page 16).
    Should say see page 18.
    • page 75, Fortune Advantages, last paragraph:
    Otherwise, it is best not to assign Luck to villains; “lucky” foes tend to either have the benefit of GM-defined complications or powers like Probability Control.
    Probability Control, as in the 2nd edition power, doesn't exist in the 3rd edition of the system.
    • Composite, page 86: Powers add up to 70 points, total is 171.
    • Elemental, page 96: Abilities add up to 36 points, Defenses add up to 37 points, total is 184.
    • Hybrid, page 99: Powers should be 30+, total should be 165+.
    • Jobber Themes, page 106: Stilts/Spiders/Striding adds up to 16 points. Strength, Enhanced Advantages should be rank 2, total is 21 points. Whips/Tentacles adds up to 21 points.
    • Jumped-Up Nobody, page 108: Amazing Confidence, Enhanced Advantages should be rank 7.
    • Overlord, page 126: Skills add up to 35 points, total is correct.
    • page 144, Rat: Abilities add up to -14 points, Defenses add up to 0 points if Toughness is supposed to be -2, as Shrinking doesn't affect Toughness. Total is the same.
    • page 144, Snake, Viper: Abilities add up to - 6 points, Defenses add up to 2 points with same issue as Rat above. Total is the same.
    • page 145, Swarm, Devouring: The note about no effective Strength due to Insubstantial effect doesn't count for Insubstantial 1.
    • page 145, Whale: Stamina should be 12. Defenses add up to 4 points, total should be 40.
    • page 149, Giant Flytrap: Defenses add up to 10 points, total should be 25.
    • page 149, Giant Insect: Defenses add up to 10 points, total should be 17 points.
    • page 150, Ninja Novice: Defenses add up to 10 points, total should be 52.
    • page 153, Robot Jockey description: Parts of last 3 sentences obscured by image on page.
    • page 155, Crook:
    This stablock can also be used as any type
    statblock missing 2nd t.

    Here is the remaining errata I've found for the book.

    • page 187, Energy Reflection, 2nd paragraph, 1st sentence: [quote]A particularly vicious sort of reflection trap is a container surrounded by a net or web or monofilaments[quote] 2nd or should be of.
    • page 191, Getting Trapped, 4th paragraph, 6th sentence:
    This sort of capture, even thought
    thought should be though.
    • page 239, Powers, 3rd paragraph:
    either a penalty for an enemy force of a bonus (rallying the troops)
    of should be or.
    • page 245, Castle: Adds up to 11 equipment points.
    • page 247, Hidden Temple: Adds up to 9 equipment points.
    • page 257, Sky Fortress: Adds up to 19 equipment points with that Toughness. The description of Features points to this being built with the Vehicle rules and Awesome size for a vehicle instead of the Headquarter rules.
