    My bad. Somehow I thought it was a disintigration beam. Maybe the descriptor just got me adding stuff that's not there. Anyway, it's a ranged attack though.

      Well, I'm going to try to stick to one a day, so it'll take a few days to get them all up, but the most difficult design for me will definitely be Paradigm (Jason). Weapon guys are always hard for me.

        Elle's might be a ranged disintegration attack. But that's justified as Martin figuring out something not quite the same as he didn't have the benefit of Moms tutelage. Even after he's never put in the work to change the effect.

          "That's Dominique Infinity," Diamond Dust said. "He was two years over me. I used to idolize him, but he... He's not a good person."
          That's good enough to get the point across. Paragon did other things that were bad too but it would only be random chance that any of it got around. Especially since he's dead and all. ;}

              I think Narwhale is my favorite so far. Though Jack makes me think I need to hit the gym... every day for the next three years straight. ;~)

              I believe that there are larger versions on H&H's art thread in case anybody wants a closer look.

                Yeah, larger sized versions of these illustrations are indeed on my art thread. Two reasons for that...one, so I don't just chew up page space with pictures when people might be discussing the game and two, so if people want to more easily view the flaws in the pictures and comment on them, they can critique me where I've made critiques welcome.

                I've got Exemplar (Lex), Apocrypha (Emily), Raze (Viktor) and Tatterdemalion (Vlad) left to do then it's a break from game related illustrations as I work on my illustrated "Crashers!" story.

                  I'm going insane. ("Going?")

                  I've had it in my head that if a character is caught flat-footed, they lose the bonus Force Field grants to Toughness--like it's a dodge bonus. I went looking to double check my Concentration DC and started to see that I may have been handling my characters wrong all these years. Anyone know where I got this idea? Am I just crazy, or was I right and I need to make a Concentration check to maintain my Force Field? Because... the way I'm reading it now, it's like the bonus is there.

                  And yes, I'm aware it's sad when the GM stops and says, "Err, what are the rules again?"

                    I can't say for sure but I believe force fields don't fall victim to the flat footed issue.
                    Unless the person who is flat footed hasn't had a chance to activate his force field, in which case they're in for a world of hurt.

                    However when a person with a force field gets stunned they do have to make a check to see if the force field stays up. I think that happens for all powers that are concentration or sustained, but I'd have to check my books to be sure.

                      Shield does but I don't think forcefield does.

                        I dug up my old copy of Ultimate Power and looked up Force Field. Here's the key line IMO;

                        Since it is sustained, you can improve your Force Field using extra effort and use it for power stunts, however, it turns off if you are unable to maintain it, such as if you are stunned and fail a Concentration check.

                        So apparently flat-footed doesn't count towards that. Sorry Mich....

                          Yep, Flatfooted affects Defensive Roll but not Forcefield.

                            I have no idea how I got it into my head that being flat-footed stripped you of your force field...

                              Eh, some parts of 2e combat can be a tad confusing from time to time. I've got a good history of mixing things up during a fight, so don't feel too bad Mich.

                                Yeah, we've all been there at some point.

                                Which reminds me, I've been meaning to re-read the stuff on fatigue.
