Yup! In my eternal quest to provide better villains, I thought this would make for a cool bad guy: the villain is actually a hero. He's not pretending--he's really a champion of justice--a paragon of peace! He's beloved. He'll become France's own Superman... and only you guys know the truth about how others have to suffer to let him be that great. He's doing a lot of good in his corner of the world... but at the cost of screwing up other people's lives.
How if he only *just* got the powers of the Amanar's, Viktor and Otso? If he's beloved then he has done this before (which means it wears off or is released), it also means he has an ever-shifting powerset according to the public's viewpoint. Such a thing is unprecedented!

There must be more to this story.

I've been pretty eager to get to this, and was wondering who it would be who ended up with him. I was dreading Martin going here (as that would make for a really short conversation).
I was actually wondering if Martin would be immune to his particular power manipulation.

When the idea hit for Cleave, I got very excited. I hope to get a lot of mileage out of him (you'll see), and wanted to really paint the picture that this guy is a villain of the worst order.
Good for him he can wield swords with his mind, cuz his fingers are about to be broke....

At this point, process of elimination would agree with you. You know where Cleave, BG&C, Robor, Haboob, and Skew are: the only ones left are Ogre and the Vitesse brothers. One is at Kas' location, and the other is a rampaging monster.
I meant specifically that it was the young woman Martin saw with the Cads. The black body suit (made of the unstable, shifting polymers) would be something that would change with her.

I like the idea of Juozas being the one who pulled this fight, buuuut I also have a hard time seeing Juozas giving a crap here.
Yeah, Skew was prolly hoping to get a rise out of the crystalline teen.

That's what I thought when it came up. I expect Kas was thinking this would help heal Gaspar's soul.
I doubt any of us were thinking of it at that point.

In all fairness, the stuff happening in them has the potential to help change the game.

    Looking forward to it.

I also want to see the school staff get in on the fights... the Minotaur janitor, or even the Nelson patriarch, the throw-anything therapist, the hideous lunch lady,.... good stuff.

Yes! Siege's untold secret is that as well as being super-fast, he's secretly a were-crone, so he can also run the kitchen when he's not there. The woman in charge of the cafeteria when he isn't there...is him (sort of). It makes perfect sense.

To address the Lexus/Gaspar thing, I've got to fess up...flynnarrel is right, Gaspar having killed Lexus' mother wasn't even on my mind.

However, had Kas considered it, he would have (foolishly) assumed they would settle that after the threat to everybody's lives had been dealt with. As it is, Lexus has just gotten even with Gaspar in order to potentially get himself killed. Not even the stupidest, most hormonally driven teenager on the planet would likely make this decision...but Lexus did.

*shrug* I apologize in advance for not anticipating this...especially if it results in characters being doomed. Except, y'know...Fey...because she has to survive so she can be killed later.

Okay, I've been working on some math that has just been making me a little frightened.

So Voleur/Durendal (is his secret base Aix a Chapelle?) obviously is primarily empowered by a linked Mimic-Power Control effect.

So this effect is built by taking a 4pt Mimic (all powers at once, including enhanced traits) with the Extras: Duration (Continuous) +1, Extra Subject (Minimum of twice for 5 subjects at once, maybe more) +2 and probably Stacking +1...so

                      7 or 8pp/rank.

Then add Power Control Extra: Duration (Continuous) +1 Flaw: Range (Touch)-2, so 1pp/rank.

Linked is +0, so it totals to 8 or 9pp/rank, with enough ranks to mimic Alina's sisters, Viktor, Otso and who knows who else.

At 5pp per rank of mimic, that's got to be at least a rank 15 power (75pp available) costing 120 or 135pp alone.

This guy is a beast! And if I low-balled his "Extra-Subject" extra or power rank or both (which is totally possible) he could be even worse. Elemenoh might scare flynn, but this guy scares me.

Its probably got the Limited-Genetic Powers Only Flaw. Mich tends to give that to his mimics, who mimic NS and Nephilim powers only, not Espers or mages. Plus, Limited-must successfully use Power Control. I wonder if it has Stackable, since I don't think Mich gives that to his other mimics.

The Big A has a similar power-Perception Mimic 10, Extra Subjects 2, Limited.

In addition to all the other powers Hivdil has.

Yeah, I could see the limiteds, since they reduce the cost of the mimic to 6 or 7pp/rank (assuming he's currently maxed out on subjects), which would lower the cost of his mimic substantially, but he has to have more than a mimic rank of 10, since he couldn't manage all his mimicked abilities on 50 active pts. Viktor's powers alone cost 68pp. There may be some overlap in non-stackable traits, like immunities that save Durendal points, but still, he's crazy scary.

He is a major point hog. At present, his powers look like this:

POWERS: Mimic 10 (All Powers; Extras: Duration [Continuous, +1], Extra Subject [10 subjects, +4], Linked [Power Control, +0], Stacking [+1]; Flaws: Limited [infernal descendants, -1]), Power Control 10 (Extras: Duration [Continuous, +1], Effortless [+1], Linked [Mimic, +0]; Flaws: Limited [infernal descendants, -1], Range [Touch, -2]), Super-Senses 4 (Enhanced Senses: Analytical Detect, Extended Detect, Ranged Detect; Additional Senses: Detect Infernal Descendants)

That cost 94 points. As I like to stick to a budget on builds, this means that he's severely lacking in many other areas--but that's fine. Durendal is a greenhorn when it comes to the superhero game, and shouldn't be too experienced. He's essentially a bystander who has a really nifty power that makes him a good villain and good hero.

Duration was important, too. I didn't want him to lose the powers (or give them back) if he slept or anything. I'd liked to have gone Sustained, but my budget wouldn't take that much of a punch to both powers. This way, there exists the chance of you guys beating him up, stunning him, and making him give back powers. It'll all come down to his Concentration check. So, if you need to beat him, there you go.

He has a pool of 50 points, and he has to be very careful with them. For the most part, he's been taking them ala carte: when he got access to Viktor's powers, for instance, he grabbed more of the Impervious Toughness than he did the Immovable/Unstoppable. The Air Walking? He doesn't need that: he can fly, thanks to the Amanar girls.

As for Otso, he can turn into a bear, but he doesn't need most of the powers it bequeaths. He essentially has a single rank of Container, giving him insulating fur (Features!) and the animal senses.

Also, to address some things flynn mentioned... notice the flaws on Durendal's powers? Martin is 100% excluded from that. He can't detect Martin. He can't control Martin's powers. He can't copy them. Martin is the anti-Durendal. And I misspoke: he is not really beloved quite yet. He is just getting started. He's been operating in Paris for a very short time, and is only just beginning to make a name for himself. This, he hopes, will be his big moment in the sun.

He had to have it. The Armanar girls aren't that fast on their own. He needed to be fast. So, he takes the power from each of the girls, so that he can stack them, and get better flight.
