Made a slight edit to my post at the request of Flynn. We're putting something to the test.

For anyone within vicinity of a Nelson, it is not.

Imago is currently in a room with Terrance Nelson (despite what my roll call sprawl says), while BK is now in the presence of Cacophony, who also negates it within a fixed radius. Current, meanwhile, is on his own, as is Shiver; many NPCs are in the hum at the moment, too.

    How could you‽

Yes and no. I mean, it all depends upon the direction you want to take. Given that you can only create so much ice in a round, you might want to focus on reinforcing certain areas, in which case, I'd call for an appropriate Craft (structural) or Profession skill... which are trained only. However, if you wanted to go nuts and just start making support pillars from the ground to the building, where their only purpose is to just prevent anything from falling? I wouldn't require a check.

The building isn't really that tall. Vantage has a maximum height of 32', so her swatting something out of the sky isn't going to be crashing into, say, the eighteenth floor of a skyscraper. This is on me--I really should have peppered this scene better with details. I think, at max, this building is about four stories tall, and the ship just crashed into the second floor. That being said, Violet doesn't have to worry about making a tall support, so her volume for Create Object won't be met just in trying to reach the floor.

I hope I'm making sense. I feel like I might not be... I mean, I can picture what I'm talking about, but even I'm looking at this and going, "What are you saying?"

I'm confused as to why this is a question ;~)

And awesome. Goddamn fast and awesome!
As you probably noticed, I had a different plan in mind for Lex than was really communicated. So, yeah, he comes across as a massive ass but he had good intentions.

Actually he's largely stopped caring by now.

Lex just doesn't work well as part of a team. I think he recognizes that and would rather spare everyone the effort of having to work with him.
This is a part of it.
Lex is actually quite bad in combat when anybody is in melee range of his target... something I forgot in the last fight (Sorry Mich!) but I don't think really came into play. Since he doesn't have precise shot he gets a negative to hit, and since a surprising number of players seem to love hugging the bad guys (cuddle attack, DC19!) his electrical attacks are a double bladed weapon.
Add in the fact that he can normally outpace people in emergencies, and that so far as he can tell most of the student body doesn't like him? Easier to avoid in party fighting and just go where he's needed.
So, yeah, he's just gotten used to working by himself, or working with Martin who happens to be one of the few people who can keep up with him.

Eventually I hope to drop a point or two into getting the speed sharing power, but it's going to be pretty slow.
I'm hoping by the end of this session to have a point I can drop into a melee strike off his electrical powerset.
And the last PP I got really needs to go into Extended Range for his electrical senses. Which either brings his range up to 100 feet or 400 feet, depending on how one gauges ranks for senses. I presume if you buy improvements for a sense it counts towards the rank of the sense in regards to range?
Eh, either way it makes a heck of a lot more sense than the ability to sense power at the range of three steps :~P

Kit was one of the last players to join the infinite game and wasn't in it very long before disappearing I believe.
A fact I only know because I had to research it after Mich used the name Medic a couple times and I was left wondering "Who the heck is that? Is it Lorena?" ;~)

Well, well, more allies. So I need to figure out what Imago can do.

    Edit: Figured that out.

OOC: Unrelated to this, if the Medic character michuru keeps referring to is Lorena Argento from 720, her codename is actually Cachexia.
    He's talking about Kit, HH.

Ha! So true. Lex's martyr complex makes Kas's martyr complex look completely amateur hour.

Wow, so Lex is really just a d*ck isn't he?

    Violet: "I can help you."

Lex: "I'm just going out to rescue people and put out fires and stuff."

Violet: "Yeah, my powers would be way better for that than yours. I can create ramps for evacuations, smother fires, make temporary support structures and all kinds of stuff."

Lex: "True, but if I slowed down to the point where I wasn't showing off how goddamn fast I am, I wouldn't be showing off how goddamn fast I am. So... sorry."

And he wonders why he isn't more popular with his fellow students.

Her Uncle was brought in to resolve that.

With Fach gone, can those in the meeting still hear each other? Wouldn't the hum return?

Presumably even being indoors isn't a barrier, it wouldn't be that effective a countermeasure to coordination for the Elpis if walls could stop it.

Common for those with an altered rate of time.

Merlet would be more than happy to transport any downed enemy combatant he is made aware of to the Vienna school.

Less chance of them causin trouble in his home that way.
