    Hornet:
    [Kirk McGlothlin]
    HP: 3
    LP: 0
    Condition: Normal
    Armor Condition: Fatigued (x2)

After taking out the Brickbuster, Hornet focused his efforts in working with the AEGIS troops in picking off a number of the remaining VIPER agents. As the fight starts winding down and the rest of the team gathers together, Hornet joins them just before Kris gives off a wave of magic that removed the minor injury the Insect Avenger had taken fighting Faultline.

To bad it couldn't do something for his armor he thought as he landed on Kris' shoulder so the others could better see and hear him.

Bastion's question brings a slight smirk to Hornet's face. "If the on-board computer is too fried I probably could at least man the gun myself, so it's doable one way or another."

      Dragonfyre
      HP:6 Cnd: Healing...

At Bastion's words, Tony rolls his shoulders and shakes his wings, "Ready for it boss...whatever it is." With that, Dragonfyre steps a little forward of the others, taking point for whatever hurting comes out of the Transport. As he does, the saffron scales across his body shift and knit themselves...repairing the scratches he had suffered so far. Though his words had sounded confident, he was like the others...this had been way too easy...by far. By that reasoning, whatever was inside the large tincan should prove to be a total bumache.

"Sorry," Skylark says as she lands, sheepish. "The big transport was me. Was trying to get the small ones instead. I'll clean up the mess don't worry."

She almost sounds like she's apologizing for totaling the family car.

"So what's the plan for taking out the thing even VIPER's scared of?" Skylark stretches as healing energy washes over her and mends her collection of bruises and cuts.

A nod was given to Hornet. The man knew his tech, Bastion seemed inclined to let Hornet's own judgment decide whether the idea was worth exploring. Dragonfyre and Skylark's attitudes earned a smile from the man before his attention shifted back to the transport. Behind mirrored lenses, his eyes narrowed in a thoughtful fashion.

            Everyone

"Good call, you guys hang here well go poke the hornet's nest." Mayte says with a smirk and a wink at Hornet. "Aves, Greely get me a recon of that thing!"

The two agents respond smartly and move up to the transports side door cautiously following their safety procedures to the letter. Covering each other they make to look carefully into the transports door from which the Viper agents fled.

"Too dark were going in." Aves reports "Cover us."

Greely takes a deep breath before suddenly leaping through the door and into the transport followed by Aves. There is silence for a moment save for the breathing of the two men through the comms. The silence though is broken as both men scream terrified shrieks punctuated by blaster fire and what sounds like a guttural roar followed by a sickening sound of bones breaking.

"What the ehll si going on in there!?" Mayte yells "Aves, Greely report!"

Mere moments later the side of the transport explodes outward and the bodies of Aves and Greely fly out and land at your feet. The men are broken and twisted beyond recognition, both nearly appear to have been tied into a knot their spines are so distorted. Inspite of their helmets though both man have looks of sheer terror and agony frozen in place on their faces.

Out of the side of the transport the source of their fear and untimely demise steps blinks--or attempts to as it has no eye lids-- at the bright light of the late afternoon before focusing on you. its red eyes widen and practically glow in recognition and bloodlust. Rearing back its head the massive purple skinned being with its green coils and armor roars to the heaven an enraged challenge before it digs in its feet and charges you all.

"Madre de dios, Its Ripper!" Matye breaths a touch of awe and fear tinging the nearly fearless Silver Avengers voice as she visibly shudders.

Not the most creative attack but he expected that it should at least give a measure of what they were up against. Seeing it impact, he jumped to the side so that they wouldn't be grouped up too closely.

Now that they knew what they were up against, he felt more comfortable calling a out a battle formation and general strategy.

"Silver Avenger, have your people work on containment. We don't want this spilling out of the area or turning into a chase."

"Dragonfyre and I will take point and get in his face. Skylark, harassing hit and run. Try to make openings for us. The same goes for you Hornet, if you don't think the tank idea is worth the effort. Kris, Shock, you're he artillery: range support."

                      Hornet:
                      [Kirk McGlothlin]
                      HP: 2 (-1 for re-roll)
                      LP: 0
                      Condition: Normal
                      Armor Condition: Fatigued (x2)

Seeing Ripper emerge from the VIPER transport made Hornet's blood run cold. This was extremely serious since he was a monster who'd done a lot to earn that kind of reputation. Hornet was fairly certain that his armor would have little effect on the large beast of a man, even if was working at 100% so he wasted no time in making his way to the tank Bastion had talked to him about trying to make use of.

Inside the Anaconda, Hornet returned to his regular size and manned the gunner's seat as he tried to get the targeting system online. Which wasn't an easy task and required him to physically connect his armor's onboard computer to it in addition to getting help from Aya after he nearly crashed the tank's system.

The AI managed to straighten the system out and help Hornet get it back online. Unfortunately it had to re-boot so it would upload properly, meaning that Hornet had to wait while his teammates dealt with Ripper. "I've got the Anaconda's computer back online but it's going to be a hot minute before I can access the weapons systems gang, so you're going to have to keep Ripper occupied." Hornet said into his commlink to keep the others updated on his progress.

So not too sure how working the Hiss tank is, so I'll need Catsi to let me know what's what with the Hiss (as in what I need to roll and such)

Edit: Knowledge [Technology] Check: _: 1D20+18 = [1]+18 = 19, that blows. Spend an HP to re-roll that.
                      re-rolled Knowledge [Technology] Check: _: 1D20+18 = [12]+18 = 30, well that is much better.

With Ayas quick reprogramming , and Karens advice you're quickly able to reboot the tanks damaged systemry, and refocus the vehicles power plant into activating the main gun and turret. Aiming systems show a targeting recticle centered on Ripper and the computer asks what ammunition it should load.

More then suffficent and on the next turn you can fire to your hearts content

The colliding roars were enough o shake windows and startle what birds weren't allreayd startled by the fire fight. The collision of Tonys fist with Rippers prgonathic chin shatters those windows for blocks around and causes rictor meters in UC Berkely to jump. The massive villain is rocked on his heels and tony can feel his knuckles stinging from the impact which casues Ripper to spit a wad of purplish ""blood"" onto the ground.

Mayte Sanchez no coward but not a fool either reacts as her training dictates. She rounds up her troops and they begin a fast search and evacuation of the surrounding buildings to make sure no one is caught in the crossfire of the battle. She knows from hard experience that when Ripper fights collateral damage is a guarantee and civilian casualties a certainty she wants to avoid.

"Awwwcrap," Skylark murmurs as Ripper bursts out of the transport like some sort of horror movie monster. Things have just gotten Real Serious. This is way way beyond anything she is prepared for. Every preprogrammed instinct in her is screaming for her to run, retreat, regroup, call for reinforcement, and avoid going toe-to-toe with the horrible thing holding the mangled bodies of two men in its fist.

But this is the last stand, this is where they break VIPER and cut off the serpent's head. This is the moment she has been waiting all her life for. And with a sort of quiet determination Skylark steels herself for what is to come.

"Hey, big guy! Over here!" She flicks her wrist and sends a trio of feather blades speeding towards the villain, before breaking into a run. Not coincidentally, her position puts Ripper's back right in Hornet's line of fire.

The feather blades just graze Ripper's eyelids. Too hasty. She'll do better on the next one.

Skylark darts from one shattered transport hull to another, leaping over wrecked tanks and crashed air cavalry, and as she pauses atop a downed tank she raises one arm and buzzes Ripper with her wrist-mounted ultrasound blaster. "I'm 120 pounds wet and I betcha there's nothing you can do to me, baldie." She beats her wings, soars over him and rains more feather blades down on his head.

Surge and get another standard action

Move action: Feint (at -5 for move action) and use Set-Up to transfer the benefit to Hornet's tank
Standard action: Feint and transfer the benefit to Dragonfyre
Standard action: Feint and transfer the benefit to Bastion
                              Feint vs Ripper (1d20+15-5=22, 1d20+15-1=33, 1d20+15-2=26)
So DC 22, 33 or 26 sense motive or Bluff check to avoid being flatfooted vs Hornet, Dragonfyre and Bastion respectively.

The -1 and -2 on the second and third rolls is the penalty for using feint on the same enemy more than once per combat.

Ripper spends the next few moments snarling as he tries to catch the nimble little white birdy so he can twist her head off like a chicken. Thusly hes so distracted he fails to see anything else happening around him so effective is Skylarks needling.

Only really needed the one roll since and he couldn't match that as he has no real sense motive anyways

So he is flat footed for Bastion and Hornet and Dragonfyre next round
