  • Herolab Addon vs Guide books

I was looking to purchase one or the other for gadget guide. I already got the Addon for Power Profiles but regretted it since it clogged up alot of the premade powers too many of which are spells. Will gadget guide do the same? And beside being pre-built into the options does it offer anything else to make it worth purchasing over the pdf?

Frankly, yeah, it will clog things up, particularly since all of the Gadgets were built as Powers. I think the book is better if you don't mind paging through. That said, I've found that there's some mileage in being able to type in "snare" and getting a series of powers related to it.

I don't see it as that big a deal, however if there was a simple way to just make it default to the Effects list and keep the endless Powers list as a pulldown option instead of the other way around, it would sure save me some mouse mileage.

I have both and I'm personally happy I have but the books (both Gadget Guides and Power Profiles) are what I read when I'm looking for a specific power - the herolab addons just makes them easier to find and include in builds. My players love the narrative in the book and it helps explain how such and such power or gadget should be used (especially when they power stunt) while the herolab files are less immediately accessible. The layout issues don't bother me so much because thanks to having the book I can go straight to the gadget or power I want rather than having to trawl.

So I'm getting the PDF, trying to pay with Paypal for some reason it says ship to [my address]. Not sure if what this means, are they going to mail me a receipt or a disc with the PDF on it?

Edit: Nevermind, got emailed the download link.

It always asks for your address regardless of whether or not anything is actually being physically delivered there.
It's Onion Bubs, not Onion Bulbs. Noel, Noel, my name has no l.
I create characters and put them here when I can be bothered.
