  • First game for a newbies group.

So, I've just started a new group We have a light manipulator, a guy that can control gravity, a telepath and a guy with a sonic scream. They are supposed to be the newly graduated students from an academy of superheroes. Most of the group is completely inexperienced but they are interested and took great effort in making the sheet and learning the rules so I want to give them something to look forward to. For my adventure I was planning on giving them a test run, a crash course on superheroing. I have a supervillain with an army of robotic mooks, giant mechas and A.Is that has just invaded the HQs and I was thinking of giving them the task of defeating him. Also, some occasions to give the telepath times to shine? I know I just mentioned that the villain has robot but I was thinking of putting some human henchmen in there.

Good that you are trying to be inclusive of all your players and creating challenges for everyone. How did it go?

There could be some human controllers or pilots for the robots. Presumably you'll have a few human-sized bots that could be controlled by a human controller that is either offsite like a drone pilot, or possibly leading a bot troop in a linked battlesuit to assist the bots' limited AI. Bots often have poor capacity to adapt or improvise (negative or Absent INT) so they would take orders from a lieutenant.

Giant mecha could absolutely be piloted inside or remotely, although you may not want to go remote if the telepath can't reach them.
