Hello everyone! I'm new to the boards, and I notice that many of the games in the game room are running 2E. I am pretty reliant on heroSRD for my rules, but I only see third edition stuff there. Is there an open source rulebook for2E anywhere?

I'm afraid there isn't. I keep meaning to go ahead and put one together, but I've been lazy.

"The following is designated as Product Identity, in accordance with Section 1(e) of the Open Game License, Version 1.0a: all character and place names and titles, power points, and hero points.

All text is designated Open Gaming Content, except for material previously declared Product Identity."

Does this mean you can't mention how much the powers cost in an SRD type file? Power points being product identity and all.

Edit: Forgive me that was from Ultimate Power, the core book says:

"The following is designated as Product Identity, in accordance with Section 1(e) of the Open Game License, Version 1.0a: all character and place names and descriptions, all artwork and images, power points, and hero points.

The following text is Open Gaming Content: Introduction, Chapters 1 through 9, and all stat blocks in Chapter 11 and the adventures, except for material previously declared Product Identity."

Still Mutants and Masterminds without Hero Points or Power Points is bound to be crippling.

The 3E SRD just uses alternate terms, "character points" and "victory points".
